The Winner Of This Year's ROYAL RUMBLE May Have Been Revealed And It's A Huge Shocker - SPOILERS

When Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returned to WWE last year, the plan was for him to main event WrestleMania in a match with then-Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The #WeWantCody movement changed things, of course, and The Rock instead competed in a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins with Reigns as his partner. The plus side to that was it left the door open for The Final Boss to battle any one of those men down the line.

Heading into this year's WrestleMania, The Rock could challenge Rhodes for the title or perhaps even be revealed as the mastermind behind the new Bloodline for a feud with the OTC.

Or he'll miss the PLE altogether!

However, according to a rumour shared by insider Bin Hamin, The Rock is being lined up to win next month's 30-man men's Royal Rumble match.

"Yeah, win the Rumble? Maybe they'll switch it. My inside sources, and like it could change the day of, so, but I heard The Rock is penciled in as the one right now," he teased. "So, we'll see which way it goes. You never know. An injury or a movie could change, either of those f***ing things."

This lines up with recent comments from Dave Meltzer who said, "I think if Cody's champion, he's gonna defend against Dwayne. Then that's out unless they have Dwayne win the Rumble, which you know is as weird as that sounds, it's not a non-viable situation. It would actually be gigantic if that happened."

"I mean, I remember when he was gonna come back and wrestle Reigns, it actually was discussed with me from people there," he added.

Rhodes previously said this when asked about a possible match with The Rock:

"Offer still stands. And again, if he never comes back, he’s done it all. He really has. And as much as I insulted him previously, it was an honor to be part of his last outing. But what I learned physically in the ring with him, it shouldn’t be his last outing. There’s more. There’s not just gas left in the tank, there might be multiple tanks. There’s more and I would like the WWE Universe or pro wrestling fans. I’d like them to see that. I think there’s a world where [he’s the] WWE Director the Board great. But I think there’s a world with WWE really benefits and this young audience being able to connect with him they don’t know him as the people’s champ they know him as The Final Boss. That offer stands whenever."

Stay tuned for updates as we have them.
