The second Evolution PLE was a hit, and most fans seem to agree that the eight-year wait for another all-female WWE event was far too long.

Vince McMahon was in charge when the first Evolution took place, but with Triple H now calling the shots, could we see it become an annual PLE? While the WWE Chief Content Officer was full of praise for the show, it doesn't sound like that's the current plan.

"It’s just an epic show. It was a women’s show, yes, but it was just an epic show," Triple H said during the post-show press conference. "I love the fact that the women are now every bit a part of the show in every aspect of it. At any point in time they can main event if it’s the story. It’s all there."

"As the demand for the women grows across the board every day, it becomes less about having their own show. That’s equality," he continued. "They don’t have to have their show to be in the spotlight, but if it works, we’ll definitely go down that road again. It’s a 'we shall see.'"

What will ultimately decide Evolution 3's fate is ticket sales and viewership figures, so we'll have to wait and see whether we're going to have to wait another eight years for the women to take centre stage.

During the show, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship in what proved to be a losing effort. She received a standing ovation from fans after the match ended, but is that the end for her? It doesn't sound like it.

"I have that thought like, 'Is this the last time? It could be.' The WWE fans has been so wondeful to me and so supportive," Stratus said. "I just feel so blessed to dip my toes into the current landscape. It’s been 20 years. Is it 2005? Like, what the heck."

"I want to knock down the preconceived notions about maybe there is no expiration date until you say it is. It’s not over until you say it’s over," she said, before adding, "It’s my 25th year. Let’s make it a good one."

It appears we haven't seen the last of Stratus in WWE, and that's very good news indeed. What's next for her remains to be seen, but there's no doubt still plenty of Stratusfaction to go around.
