The King of Kings will go into the WWE Hall of Fame.
To the surprise of the very man himself, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker made the announcement at the Town Hall meeting at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
The former WWE Champion will headline the class of 2025, which is expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Triple H going into the Hall of Fame was inevitable.
The 55-year-old made his WWE debut on April 30,1995 as The Connecticut Blue Blood. However, he didn’t really find his footing until 1997 when D-generation X was formed. Since then, Triple H has been one of the top stars of the WWE for over a decade. For better or worse.
Most modern fans will recall Triple H’s reign of terror in the early 2000’s; and say what you will about Triple H and Evolution dominating WWE television for three years, he was a tremendous heel that got over the future of the business (Batista and Rnady Orton). Nevertheless, Triple H was forced to retire in the ring following his heart failure in 2021.
Since then, the COO has been booking the main roster and Triple H is the reason why WWE is on such an upswing. The former WWE Champion may have a couple of flaws with his booking, but overall, the WWE product is at it’s best in the modern generation.
Triple H’s Hall of Fame induction is well deserved. Some people may be surprised that he’s going in as he’s still serving as the Chief Operating Officer, but you can’t look at the guy’s resume and dismiss him as a worthy entrant into the Hall of Fame. Triple H put out a sweet statement thanking several important names for his induction.
“Been trying to come up with a way to say “Thank You” for the immense honor announced yesterday,” Triple H wrote on Twitter. “I have had the incredible pleasure of a 30+ year of creating memories and moments… meeting life-long friends (which I’m rethinking both @Undertaker & @ShawnMichaels right now) and of course, the most incredible wife and mother
@StephMcMahon.…and the opportunity to entertain the best fans in the world. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, I appreciate the kind words and well-wishes.”
Congratulations to Triple H!
