Three matches were booked for the future on tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw (click here for the full results of that broadcast)—one for Saturday Night's Main Event, and the other two for next week's episode of Raw.
Rusev and Penta fought tonight in a No. 1 contender's match to try to crown the next challenger for Dominik Mysterio. Before that happened, Dirty Dom asked The Judgment Day for help, but Finn Balor and JD McDonagh refused to and turned him down, angry with him over how his big mouth resulted in them being booked in a tag team title match last week, wherein they lost the World Tag Team Championship belts to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. (More on that later)
Clearly, Mysterio went to another ally of his for help and was able to convince El Grande Americano to do what Balor and McDonagh wouldn't, as later in the night, when Rusev and Penta were having their match, all three members of Los Americanos went on the attack against both of them. This resulted in a no-contest ruling for the bout, which Mysterio thought would render them both no longer the rightful contender.
Of course, that's not how things work in WWE, so Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then declared that both Rusev and Penta would be vying for Mysterio's WWE Men's Intercontinental Championship as they would all be in a Triple Threat match, scheduled for this weekend's WWE Saturday Night's Main Event special.
As far as The Judgment Day is concerned, they are actually going to get an opportunity at winning their World Tag Team Championship titles back next week on Monday Night Raw.
There was a backstage segment where Styles and Lee spoke about how they want to be fighting champions, which prompted Balor and McDonagh to put out the challenge, high on the buzz for McDonagh beating Sheamus (due to some interference from Balor). Styles and Lee agreed to the match for next week.
Another tag team match scheduled for next week's Raw at the Rio Rancho Event Center in New Mexico will be Stephanie Vaquer teaming with Nikki Bella against The Judgment Day's other members, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
This came about after Bella has had Vaquer's back, and Vaquer did the same after Bella lost to Perez in singles competition.
