A WWE Superstar getting injured is never good news, but it's particularly bad when it happens ahead of WrestleMania. As of today, we can add both 205 Live's Cedric Alexander and former United States Champion Rusev to the list of wrestlers on the shelf as both men look set to be on the shelf during the Showcase of the Immortals and beyond.

Alexander had one of the most inspirational moments in last year's WWE Cruiserweight Classic when fan support led to him receiving a contract with the company, but he was unlucky enough to get stuck in a pretty awful love triangle storyline upon moving to the main roster. Regardless, after not competing
since a six-man tag team match on February 28th, Alexander is expected to be out of action with a right knee injury for three to five months.

Meanwhile, Handsome Rusev fans will be upset to learn that he too is going to be gone "for some time to come." The injury is reportedly something the Bulgarian Brute has known about for a while, hence why he recently sent out a Tweet about taking some time off. It's believed that it could be shoulder related and that he'll need surgery, but that's unconfirmed.

A Tweet from some fans who met Big Show, however, may offer an explanation as to why his match with Rusev at WWE Fastlane played out the way it did.
