Two wrestlers from the WWE ID Program are officially gone.
Earlier today, two names confirmed that they were no longer part of the WWE ID Program: Zayda Steel and Kylie Rae.
Steel first announced this news in the afternoon that she opted to not re-sign her WWE ID contract.
“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you.”
Steel is an extremely young talent who just started in 2022. She’s already had matches in MLW, Beyond Wrestling, and Game Changer Wrestling. Steel was one of the first wrestlers to sign with the program last year and competed on Evolve. She was one of the four women who fought for the inaugural WWE Evolve Women’s title. Steel was also an important name in the Vanity Project faction. It’s unknown why she opted to not renew her WWE ID contract.
Several hours later, Kylie Rae confirmed on her social media that her contract was not renewed.
“Today I share that my time with WWEID is coming to an end, as I was informed my contract will not be renewed. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities, memories, and people I met along the way. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this chapter—it truly means the world. As for the next chapter, I’m so ready to meet you! (Once I pop this baby out of course).”
Rae was working Evolve consistently and she even won the inaugural WWE ID Women’s Championship! She had to vacate the belt due to pregnancy. Like Steel, it’s unknown why WWE opted to not renew Kylie's deal. Rae has been wrestling for nine years and competed in AEW, TNA, and NWA. She’s a talented wrestler, so it’s a shame that she won’t be continuing the WWE ID Program.
