Several weeks ago (August 11th), Naomi was set to defend the WWE Women's World Championship on WWE Monday Night Raw against Iyo Sky (whom she defeated to win the title in the first place at WWE Evolution via a Money in the Bank cash-in on Sky and Rhea Ripley). However, that match did not take place, with the excuse being that Naomi wasn't medically cleared to compete.

The next week, Naomi relinquished the Women's World Championship, announcing that she is pregnant. No announcements were made about what would happen with the title. The week after, WWE stalled yet again, with a backstage segment where Raw General Manager Adam Pearce told Stephanie Vaquer that despite how she had won a battle royal at Evolution to earn a title shot for WWE Clash in Paris, she would have to wait and nothing would be announced for the title scene for another week.

On today's episode of Monday Night Raw, another quick pre-taped segment took place to clarify where the Women's World Championship is heading next, and it is yet another "wait until later" type stall, as Adam Pearce announced that Stephanie Vaquer will face Iyo Sky at the next premium live event, WWE Wrestlepalooza, to crown the new champion.

Next week, there will be a contract signing between Sky and Vaquer to make this official.

As it stands, this is currently the only match that has been made official for Wrestlepalooza, though it seems rather clear that John Cena will face Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre will either face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship or will have another match with Randy Orton, and that there is continued teasing that CM Punk will team up with his wife, AJ Lee, to fight Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. None of those have been confirmed, though.

On top of that, the contract signing next week could very easily break down into adding more women involved, as Roxanne Perez was upset with Pearce for not putting her in the title scene (and might have a match next week against Lyra Valkyria, who is still trying to get updates on Bayley's psychotic break) and Rhea Ripley has also expressed interest in getting another shot, all while still arguing with Asuka.
