The news broke yesterday that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan had died after suffering a cardiac arrest. The 71-year-old was a professional wrestling icon, and despite some real-life controversies, he remains a beloved figure among many fans.
As you might expect, the tributes have been rolling in thick and fast, including from fellow in-ring icons Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Some pretty emotional comments have also been shared by the likes of Ric Flair and Kevin Nash, two men who knew Hogan well and shared the ring with him on many occasions. Even former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon shared a rare social media post to express his love for the Hulkster.
Linda McMahon's tribute has raised eyebrows due to a pretty bizarre, homemade graphic, while former WCW boss Eric Bischoff made sure to let people know that his and Hogan's Real American Freestyle promotion will still launch next month as planned.
There's simply no denying the impact Hogan and Hulkamania had on pro wrestling, and WWE as we know it today likely wouldn't exist without him. We'd bet on WWE doing something special for Hogan during tonight's episode of SmackDown.
