Yesterday, it was announced that Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest will officially face off at WWE WrestleMania 41, and today, another announcement via social media has been made to add another match onto the card.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce took to X to post the following video, explaining the situation between The War Raiders and The New Day after their match for the World Tag Team Championship titles on Monday Night Raw, which ended via disqualification.
Pearce stated that The New Day technically have a victory over the tag team champions and have been blowing up his phone, begging for another opportunity to win the titles. Erik and Ivar rightfully blame Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on the whole chaotic situation and want some revenge. Thus, the simple answer is to let them settle the score in the ring on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
At the moment, nothing has been announced as far as whether or not the No Disqualification element of the setup for this will translate into a No DQ match of some kind at WrestleMania, which would make perfect sense. There's always a chance a gimmick or stipulation is added on Monday when this is more formally announced, as WWE doesn't even have a graphic for this at the moment.
