WRESTLEMANIA 42 Spoilers: Paige Set For WWE Return And Her First Match Has Been Revealed

A new report reveals that Paige (Saraya Bevis) has signed a new contract with WWE, and we have details on exactly when and where she'll return during the upcoming WrestleMania weekend.

Paige made her main roster debut in WWE in 2014, winning the Divas Championship the night after WrestleMania 30 when she defeated AJ Lee.

After suffering from serious neck issues, the British professional wrestler was forced to retire from in-ring action in 2017 and took on manager and authority figure roles in the company until her contract expired in 2022.

Later that same year, Paige—going by Saraya—was cleared and debuted with AEW. She remained there until last year, and speculation about her returning to WWE has run rampant ever since. Now, it sounds like it's finally happening.

According to PWInsider, Paige has signed a contract with WWE and is expected to return to the ring at WrestleMania 42 this weekend. According to the site, with Nikki Bella still not cleared to return after suffering an ankle injury several weeks ago on SmackDown, she will take the WWE Hall of Famer's place in the match.

Paige is currently in Las Vegas and was reportedly seen taking part in a run-through for the tag team match earlier this week. While some would argue that a return on the RAW after WrestleMania would have been more fitting, the reaction to her comeback on the Show of Shows promises to be epic.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, AJ Lee expressed her desire to see Paige back in a WWE ring:

"It would be great. She's so talented and I knew it from day one. We'd always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room. I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they're so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now."
