Preview & Predictions for WWE RAW:
On tap for today's episode, this is one of those episodes where WWE isn't advertising essentially anything. They're just trying to capitalize off the buzz leftover from SummerSlam. As a fallout episode, that means a lot of recap footage, a lot of promos where people say "this is what happened and what you saw in the recap footage", and then, people saying in response "This is what happened when the person talked about the recap footage."
You can see that by the advertisements, which say that Becky Lynch "appears after her SummerSlam victory" (ie, will cut a promo to hype up how she beat Lyra Valkyria, and that will lead into the Bayley story element). The same goes for how it is listed that "Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss come to Raw as new Women's Tag Champions", meaning promo time and someone interrupting to set up a tag team match or a new No. 1 contender team establishing themselves.
The only actual match that has been announced as of this publication is Rusev against Sheamus in their third or fourth encounter. My bet goes for Rusev winning this one.
The rest of the show will be Seth Rollins gloating over his Money in the Bank cash-in on CM Punk, probably a medical update that says Gunther needs nose surgery (hopefully blamed on the GTS even though that wasn't the case), we'll get the next stage of Dominik Mysterio's Intercontinental Championship reign after retaining over AJ Styles at SummerSlam, and so forth. Obviously, matches will take place, but WWE seems to be still working on it or not confident enough to promote stuff.
Here are your results for WWE Monday Night Raw August 4, 2025:
- The show opened with a promo from Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman (flanked by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker) to talk about the Money in the Bank cash-in and winning the world heavyweight title. They were interrupted by LA Knight, who pointed out that he beat Rollins at Saturday Night's Main Event, which will put him in line for a title opportunity. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then made it official for tonight.
- In a backstage segment, Dominik Mysterio was confronted by the LWO, followed by AJ Styles, who told him that while it was clever what he did to retain the Intercontinental Championship yesterday, the clock is ticking on is title reign.
- Rusev vs Sheamus was a draw via double count-out. They kept fighting and ignoring the referee, even breaking apart from officials and continuing to fight in the back throughout the show in other segments.
- Penta defeated Grayson Waller by pinfall.
- After a promo about Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair winning the women's tag titles, they were interrupted by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, and a rematch for the belts was made official.
- WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) defeated The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) by pinfall.
- Dominik Mysterio defeated Dragon Lee by pinfall with some help from three people dressed as El Grande Americano
- Nikki Bella interrupted Becky Lynch in the ring. They traded insults and Becky ducked Nikki's challenge for an IC title match, giving her a stiff cheap shot and then leaving. Later, backstage, Natalya, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri chastized Becky for that, and Nattie challenged Becky to a match for next week. Becky accepted, but said she'd fight Dupri instead.
- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) defeated LA Knight by disqualification due to interference from CM Punk. The Vision overwhelmed Punk and Knight, who fell to some spears and stomps and such. Roman Reigns then tried to fight them off, but he also succumbed to the numbers game.
