Preview & Predictions for WWE RAW:
On tap for tonight's episode, Penta will face Chad Gable to try to get some revenge for what happened at WWE Backlash, wherein El Grande Americano interfered in Penta's Intercontinental Championship match against Dominik Mysterio and was instrumental in costing him the victory. Of course, Gable will claim that he wasn't involved, as he and El Grande Americano are different people, and you can expect to see some interference from at least the rest of American Made (whose Creed Brothers will be in action against The War Raiders after The New Day's recommendation last week), if not also The Judgment Day, if that feud is going to continue. AJ Styles will face Finn Balor, as Dominik Mysterio wants Balor to take care of The Phenomenal One, who already set his sights on the Intercontinental Championship.
There will naturally be other fallout from Backlash, as we'll see recaps of things like John Cena taking out R-Truth in the press conference (but most of that should be reserved for Friday Night SmackDown). Undoubtedly, Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria will continue their feud after Valkyria retained the Women's Intercontinental Championship, but was beaten down by The Man after the match. Nothing specific has been advertised yet for that, though. Elsewhere in the women's division, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley will team up against Giulia and Roxanne Perez.
CM Punk will be cutting a promo. He'll naturally talk about the triumvirate of Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker.
Lastly, Jey Uso will also be looking for some payback at Logan Paul, who sucker-punched him from the crowd after last week's Raw went off the air. Those two will face off for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event next week (Saturday the 24th), so their story will be fleshed out some more tonight.
Here are your results for WWE Monday Night Raw May 12, 2025:
- Promo: CM Punk addressed Paul Heyman, who came out with Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. This led to a fight, wherein Jey Uso and Sami Zayn came out to back up Punk.
- Penta defeated Chad Gable by pinfall.
- In The Judgment Day's clubhouse, Carlito was hitting on Raquel Rodriguez (trying to get her to pay for them to go out). Dominik Mysterio doesn't understand time zones. Dom points out that Finn Balor hesitated at Backlash and almost cost him the Intercontinental Championship if it wasn't for El Grande Americano. Balor tells him to relax and reiterates that he'll take care of AJ Styles tonight.
- In the locker room, Sami Zayn and CM Punk talked about their announced tag team match for Saturday Night's Main Event. Punk said he's not able to really trust anyone right now and Zayn pointed out how WarGames worked out in their favor.
- The Creed Brothers defeated The War Raiders by pinfall. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) were on commentary and interfered for the end of the match, distracting Erik and Ivar which helped Brutus and Julius Creed capitalize.
- Seth Rollins told Bron Breakker that Punk and Zayn don't know what he's capable of and gave him an instruction (inaudibly) for what he wants him to do tonight.
- Promo: Jey Uso did his entrance and all and Gunther came out to tell him that the winner of Uso against Logan Paul will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against him on the June 9th episode of Raw.
- Jey Uso was attacked backstage by Bron Breakker, interrupting what was supposed to be an interview between Jackie Redmond and Ludwig Kaiser about how Kaiser hasn't wrestled much this year.
- AJ Styles defeated Finn Balor by pinfall. The Judgment Day got involved, but so did Penta to help even the odds.
- Becky Lynch cut a promo about how she's not going to listen to what the fans say anymore and be more cutthroat and selfish if that's what everyone thinks.
- Backstage, Akira Tozawa requested a match against Rusev, but Adam Pearce told him that he can't sign off on that until Tozawa is medically cleared to compete. He can sign off on Sheamus asking for a match against Grayson Waller next week, though.
- Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley defeated Giulia and Roxanne Perez by pinfall. .
