Preview & Predictions for WWE RAW:
On tap for today's episode, the only thing announced at this time of publication was an Intercontinental Championship match as Dominik Mysterio will have to once again put his belt on the line against "The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles. Mysterio retained over Styles at SummerSlam with an Eddie Guerrero move of untying his boot, but Styles has continued to be a thorn in Mysterio's side since then, going so far as to even interfere at Triplemania to cost Mysterio the AAA Mega Championship. Since The Judgment Day are perpetually on the bad side of Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, Mysterio won't be able to duck Styles for a long time like he did before. Admittedly, I don't think we're going to see a title change here, but there's always a possibility for a big surprise—especially if it ends up being that Dirty Dom wins the Mega Championship instead. He's set to vfight El Hijo del Vikingo at the next Worlds Collide event, which is just around the corner on September 12th.
Nothing else has been officially confirmed yet. However, Adam Pearce did tell Stephanie Vaquer that he would have an answer for her about when she'll get her Women's World Championship title shot, and who she'll end up eventually facing, after Naomi relinqiushed that title.
We can expect there to be fallout from WWE Clash in Paris, as that was a predominantly Raw roster card, so expect promos about Roman Reigns being taken out of commission by The Vision, Seth Rollins winning with Becky Lynch's help, who retained her Women's Intercontinental Championship, and more. And since it's a WWE show, expect some kind of impromptu tag team match to happen after a brawl segment that follows that promo.
Here are your results for WWE Monday Night Raw - September 1, 2025:
- The show opened with its typical promo segment to set up a tag team match, this time being Jey Uso and LA Knight will eventually face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed after some jaw-jacking.
- Backstage, Iyo Sky and The Kabuki Warriors apologized to each other as they're family, but Asuka was quick to throw out some digs for Rhea Ripley and leave the scene quickly.
- The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) defeated The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) by submission.
- Adam Pearce announced that Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky will fight for the vacated Women's World Championship at Wrestlepalooza.
- Finn Balor defeated Dragon Lee by pinfall.
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: Penta & The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) defeated Grayson Waller & The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) by pinfall.
- Asuka and Rhea Ripley got into another argument backstage over Ripley being friends with Iyo Sky.
- Backstage, Roxanne Perez complained to Adam Pearce that she should be in the Women's World Championship match despite just being pinned and not doing anything to earn it. Somehow, that's put her still in title contention. Also, Lyra Valkyria asked for an update on Bayley, which was just that she's still saying weird things and will eventually be back (aka, WWE didn't have an idea for her this week and just wants the story to continue without any actual progression so they just reminded everyone that the storyline exists in general) and Lyra now wants to fight Roxanne or Raquel.
- Dominik Mysterio retained the Intercontinental Championship over AJ Styles due in part to some interference help from El Grande Americano
- CM Punk called out Seth Rollins. Becky Lynch came out instead. They went back and forth verbally. Rollins came out to the stage and said to say something to his face. Lynch started slapping Punk repeatedly. Punk then threatened that Lynch is going to regret that.
- The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) defeated Jey Uso & LA Knight by pinfall. Jimmy Uso came out with a steel chair to eventually stop Breakker and Reed from continuing to beat down on Jey.
