Preview & Predictions for WWE Money in the Bank 2025:
On tap for today's event, both the men's and women's briefcases will be up for grabs (quite literally) as per usual. Since they hold inside them a contract for a title opportunity that the winner can cash in at any time, any place, for any title, they're incredibly important in shaping the next year's worth of WWE content and can easily change the game at any moment.
Realistically, Seth Rollins is the safe bet for the men's match. WWE has already flat out stated that his faction (alongside Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Big Bronson Reed) is their game plan for the big story heading into WrestleMania 42, and Rollins is The Visionary with the plan to steer the ship. Anyone else could win, of course, but someone like Andrade has no momentum beyond just being in this match randomly, Solo Sikoa is in the same boat and taking a back seat to Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo in a lot of ways, LA Knight's a sentimental fan favorite but not a safe bet, Penta's great as well but it's a leap to have him hold this power right now, and El Grande Americano would probably be a waste of the gimmick.
For the women's briefcase, that's harder to call. Alexa Bliss is a former winner and could be slotted into the world title scene at any moment. Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer are all fresh commodities to the main roster who can make a great impact. Naomi has her new heel character and could not only have a custom briefcase with the caution tape to sell merch, but cash in on Tiffany Stratton and be a transitional champion to drop the belt to Bianca Belair or Jade Cargill. But the real kicker is "Mami in the Bank" Rhea Ripley, who is my personal prediction to win and use the cash-in to call her shot for Evolution in a match against Iyo Sky. We'll see how right or wrong that is!
One championship is on the line directly with the Women's Intercontinental Championship on the line. If Becky Lynch loses, she can't challenge Lyra Valkyria for the title anymore. On the other hand, if Becky wins, Lyra will have to raise The Man's hand and acknowledge her as the "better woman" of the two. Lynch is my pick here, as that stipulation is going to lead to Bayley's return and a feud over this belt while Valkyria moves on.
Lastly, John Cena and Logan Paul have a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Both world champions in this match means they're vulnerable for a cash-in if the men's Money in the Bank ladder match happens before this fight takes place. Since Gunther will face Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw, keep an eye out for The Ring General to interfere here and cost the babyfaces a victory.
