Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, the focus will be on the fallout from NXT Stand & Deliver.
There will be a celebration promo segment of some kind revolving around Lola Vice, who defeated Jacy Jayne (and Kendal Grey) in a Triple Threat match to win the NXT Women's Championship. These things never go down without someone interrupting, so I would assume Fatal Influence will come out to complain, leading to a match either on this show or to set up something for a future episode.
The tournament to crown a new WWE Speed champion will begin. At the time of this publication, nobody has been announced properly for any of the at least 4 spots, if not more (but WWE has been liking this three match setup for tournaments lately, so I would assume that's all they're going to do). The only person who's been hinted at is EK Prosper, as Elio LeFleur told him that he wanted him to enter the tournament. Plus, he was in line for a title shot as it is, so he's the logical guess for the next champion, but without knowing his other contenders, it's up in the air.
There will also be a Triple Threat match between Josh Briggs, Jasper Troy, and Keanu Carver coming out of the Troy/Carver match where Briggs was the special guest referee and decided to get involved and take out both of them. Troy shouldn't take the fall a second time, but that doesn't mean he has to flat out win (even though that would be the ideal situation as he's the one who came out looking the worst in that exchange). My ideal scenario is Troy pinning Briggs, with Carver and Troy having another match down the line to settle the score between them.
Naturally, we'll see some follow-up of Tony D'Angelo winning the NXT Championship, Tatum Paxley retaining the NXT Women's North American Championship over Blake Monroe and more, but with nothing advertised ahead of time, it's difficult to figure out if WWE is going to start moving in another direction or will spend this episode mostly just recapping what happened and giving themselves an extra week to figure out future plans.
