Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (December 17, 2024) took place at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. Here is a breakdown of the most noteworthy results that transpired during this show:
Oba Femi defeated Axiom by pinfall.
Backstage, Eddy Thorpe gloated to Ava that he would win the NXT Championship tonight.
More drama on the Ashante "Thee" Adonis and Karmen Petrovic front. Dion Lennox spoke to Karmen Petrovic about the miscommunications she's had with Adonis and suggested that she should apologize to Ashante. As she thanked him for being a good friend and giving that advice, Adonis oversaw the hug and assumed there was something romantic behind it. He immediately got upset and said that he had previously cut off Nikkita Lyons, but now, he was planning on texting her back, and stormed off. Lennox shook his head about the situation and said he was going to stick to his books and minding his own business.
Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) defeated Sol Ruca & ZARIA by pinfall.
In the locker room, Tyriek Igwe and Tyson DuPont argued. While Tyriek is upset that they're just being the nice guys and can't get anywhere on the roster, DuPont thinks that there's a way to do things without being a sore loser or disrespectful. They had this argument right next to Wes Lee, who decided to chime in and give his advice of supporting Igwe's point of view.
Jaida Parker defeated Wren Sinclair by pinfall
After Shotzi saved Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin last week, the trio had a vignette about their new friendship. Paxley is excited that she doesn't have to play by herself anymore. Gigi explained that she knows Jacy Jayne well and that Jayne is always stronger when she has other people by her side. Paxley wants to rip their heads off, just like they did to her dolls. Fatal Influence was shown watching this and offered some snide remarks about how that trio doesn't have what they have. Jazmyn Nyx said "style, aura, unity as the team" and Fallon Henley remarked about her NXT Women's North American Championship. Randomly, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (The Unholy Union) showed up to say that from their point of view, Fatal Influence gives off a vibe more of turmoil than harmony.
A video package promoted the upcoming NXT Women's Championship match happening at New Year's Evil between Roxanne Perez and Giulia, speaking to the history of the title's lineage.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Super Sonic Duo of Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) defeated Gallus by pinfall to retain their titles.
Backstage, Je'Von Evans hyped up Hank Walker and Tank Ledger about their win over Tyriek and Tyson last week and spoke about his own accomplishments from 2024. Ethan Page pushed through them.
Lexis King had his workout with Charlie Dempsey. As mentioned last week, since King got through that and impressed Dempsey, he's been granted a shot at the NXT Heritage Cup for next week.
Ethan Page cut a promo in the ring about his recent losses and how he's lost his smile. Je'Von Evans interrupted to apologize about Page overhearing him talk about his accomplishments. Evans knows the real Ethan Page and mentions how Page had celebrated with his family after winning the NXT Championship. Everyone is proud of Page for busting his ass to get to this point. Page says Evans is right and he shouldn't be worried about losing his smile, but about taking Evans', and attacks him, hooking his head in a steel chair and stomping on it.
NXT Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) vs Eddy Thorpe ended with both of their shoulders pinned down at the same time and two referees counting the pinfall, so they were talking to Ava about who was the rightful winner.
