Tonight's episode of WWE NXT (July 21, 2026) emanates from WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL and will air starting at 8 p.m. ET on The CW Network.
Results, match winners, promo segment notes and other major developments from NXT will be added below as the episode airs.
Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, Tony D'Angelo defends the NXT Championship against NARAKU in a Street Fight, Saquon Shugars, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno face DarkState, Nattie goes one-on-one with Jaida Parker, Reina Volcan takes on Skylar Raye, and Shawn Spears faces Niko Vance.
I don't think the NXT Championship is going to change hands, but it's not as if that's a guarantee. Naraku getting a second opportunity is either because they want to try to stretch this feud out and get a few more segments out of it than just making it a one-and-done, or it can be their methodology they've adapted over the years where they don't like giving the title to someone on their first attempt and for some reason are very fixated on challengers losing at least once before they win the belt on their second or more attempt. I'd be curious why they would do a title change here instead of at Heatwave, though, so I'm leaning more toward D'Angelo retaining, possibly with some other people getting involved and starting a new feud for either/both of these guys out of it due to the No Disqualification scenario they're in, which opens up the door for interference.
I don't anticipate Saquon Shugars getting through DarkState with Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno on his side. Either of those can take the pin (more so Moreno) to prolong things to set up Shugars getting two bigger names who pose a bigger threat to DarkState for some more grandiose finale. This doesn't feel like how this should end with Dar and Moreno randomly involved.
Nattie's overall role in WWE for years has been to put people over. If she beats Jaida Parker, I'll be surprised. Parker can only really come out of a loss like that by turning heel and I don't think they want to do that with her.
Reina Volcan obviously demolishes Skylar Raye. Poor Raye wins LFG, goes to the NXT roster, does nothing, gets sent to EVOLVE where she hasn't accomplished anything yet, and is now being fed to Volcan.
I'm assuming Shawn Spears beats Niko Vance to prove why he was the veteran mentor in the first place, unless Izzi Dame helps Vance.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - July 21, 2026:
- Robert Stone opened the show by telling referee Darryl Sharma to ensure Tony D'Angelo and Naraku did not touch before the main event. Thea Hail tried to speak with Stone, but he brushed her aside and followed Nattie out after she declared that she would finish Jaida Parker.
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James and Osiris Griffin) defeated Saquon Shugars, Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar by pinfall after James and Griffin hit Moreno with a double powerbomb. Shugars and Lennox continued brawling after the bell and had to be separated.
- In the women's locker room, Lizzy Rain said NXT was somehow more chaotic than a mosh pit before several ongoing stories collided. Thea Hail complained about being ignored, Jaida Parker focused on Nattie, Skylar Raye prepared for Reina Volcan, and Kendal Grey questioned Parker's role in bringing Nattie into their business. Hail calmed things down and wished Parker and Raye luck.
- Kendal Grey and Lola Vice met face-to-face in the ring and agreed to an NXT Women's Championship match under NXT Underground rules on August 4. Vice argued that Grey had beaten her in a match but could not beat her in a fight, while Grey accepted the challenge and promised to prove otherwise.
- Keanu Carver defeated Hank Walker by pinfall. Carver attacked Walker after the bell, slammed Tank Ledger onto the commentary desk and prepared to use the steel steps until EK Prosper made the save. Walker, Ledger and Prosper then combined to leave Carver laid out.
- Nattie, Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons approached Thea Hail backstage. Nattie suggested Hail join The Dungeon but insulted her while doing it, saying she could become a legend like Nattie or be soft like Jaida Parker. Hail replied that she liked Parker more than any of them and hoped Parker punched Nattie's teeth in.
- Shiloh Hill visited Danhausen for a replacement tooth after Tristan Angels knocked his out. Danhausen accepted stolen cryptocurrency as payment and sent Hill away with a tooth from his collection.
- Jaida Parker defeated Nattie by referee stoppage after trapping her in the Sharpshooter. Nikkita Lyons considered throwing in the towel, Karmen Petrovic stopped her, and Thea Hail stole the towel and threw it in herself, getting revenge for Nattie's earlier insults while leaving Nattie furious.
- Kelani Jordan showed Robert Stone footage from last week and argued that she had been robbed of a three-count, but Stone said the referee's decision was final. Stone then confirmed OTM against BirthRight for next week before telling Bronco Nima that Heatwave and AAA's event fall on the same night, meaning Nima must choose where he will compete.
- Shawn Spears defeated Niko Vance by disqualification. While Lizzy Rain and Izzi Dame brawled at ringside, Spears pulled an Eddie Guerrero by dropping to the mat and tossing Vance a steel chair, convincing the distracted referee that Vance had used it.
- Kam Hendrix told Stone he was only 67.2 percent healthy until Myles Borne offered to defend the NXT North American Championship next week in exchange for a future tag team title match alongside Tavion Heights. Hendrix then miraculously claimed to be medically cleared at 107.6 percent. Stone booked Borne against Hendrix for next week, provided Hendrix is actually cleared, and promised Borne and Heights a shot at Swipe Right of The Vanity Project the following week if Borne retains.
- Reina Volcan defeated Skylar Raye by submission with Natural Disaster. Volcan's torture-rack finisher capped a dominant and impressive NXT in-ring debut.
- Robert Stone offered Shiloh Hill some popcorn chicken, only to find Hill slipping into his "Fog" persona and promising vengeance against Tristan Angels. Stone booked Hill against Angels for next week, and Hill left with all of Stone's chicken.
- NXT Championship Street Fight: Tony D'Angelo (c) defeated Naraku by pinfall to retain the title after driving him from the steel steps through a table. The match featured mist, chairs, kendo sticks, a ladder, a barricade break and Naraku putting D'Angelo through the commentary desk before the champion turned the mist back on him and finished the fight.
- The mystery arrival teased before the main event was revealed to be Mike Santana. He entered through the crowd after D'Angelo's victory and stared down the NXT Champion as the show went off the air.
