Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, we'll see the fallout from this past weekend's WWE Battleground premium live event, wherein one of the biggest things to happen was Trick Williams defeating Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship. Though we can expect most of that story to play out over TNA Impact rather than NXT, it will obviously have some repercussions on this show going forward, too. Nothing has been directly advertised, though.
Two other title matches have been announced for this show, though. Stephanie Vaquer will defend her NXT Women's Championship against Jacy Jayne, who slapped her in the face at Battleground, and Ricky Saints will defend the men's North American title against Ethan Page to determine who will put that belt on the line against a to-be-named opponent at Worlds Collide. I don't anticipate either title changing hands, but stranger things have happened.
Jasper Troy will make his in-ring debut after attacking Oba Femi last week. Troy is the men's winner of the first season of WWE LFG and was part of Booker T's team. The other winner for that season in the women's division, Tyra Mae Steele (Team Undertaker), hasn't been announced to be appearing on this episode, but always could. Troy's opponent hasn't been announced, but he'll likely squash whoever it is.
Lastly, Jaida Parker will be up against Tatum Paxley. Last week, Parker called Paxley stupid and talked down to her about all her issues with her friendships and flipping out on Thea Hail. More than likely, count on not only Parker winning, but also Hail and possibly even Karmen Petrovic being involved in some fashion.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - May 27, 2025:
- NXT North American Championship Match: Ethan Page defeated Ricky Saints (c) by pinfall to win the title! This came about after a heavy brawl, which included a moment where Page did a cutter to Saints on top of a steel chair, hurting Ricky's neck.
- Backstage, Yoshiki Inamura told Josh Briggs that he came back to NXT for Briggs, and when Briggs mentioned going for the NXT Tag Team Championship
- Mike Santana defeated Tavion Heights by pinfall.
- The High Ryze was highlighted in a vignette.
- Backstage, Andre Chase told Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors to be smarter, but they ended up thinking that they should take the opportunity to approach Ava and ask for another match. She booked Dixon, Connors, and Chase in a six-man tag team match against three members of DarkState, which pissed off Chase.
- Tony D'Angelo met with Luca Crusifino, and doesn't know who to trust, but knows that something doesn't smell right with Luca, who tried to play it off as though he can be trusted and that he was just left in the desert by Stacks and didn't reach out because he didn't want to put anyone at risk.
- Trick Williams cut an in-ring promo about winning the TNA World Championship, saying TNA is now TrickNA. Mike Santana came out, and as he had said, wants next for the title shot, which will take place next week.
- Stephanie Vaquer had a backstage segment where it was revealed she will team with Lola Vice to face Dalys and Chik Tormenta at Worlds Collide.
- Jaida Parker defeated Tatum Paxley by pinfall. Thea Hail fought with Parker after the match for a moment until Paker escaped. Later on, Paxley had a backstage segment where she was approached by Sol Ruca and ZARIA, who said that they're here to talk to Paxley if she wants to. The Culling were in the background watching this go down.
- Jasper Troy defeated Dante Chen by pinfall.
- No Quarter Catch Crew were in a backstage segment. Myles Borne wants out of the group, but Charlie Dempsey thinks it's up to him to decide. They settle on a rounds match for next week between them and if Borne wins, he's out.
- Ethan Page cut a promo in the ring where after some interruptions, it was announced that Page will defend the North American Championship at Worlds Collide in a Fatal 4-Way against Je'Von Evans, Rey Fenix, and Laredo Kid.
- Ava, Robert Stone, and Stevie Turner have a backstage segment to talk about how Sean Legacy will get a shot at the North American Championship after Worlds Collide.
- NXT Women's Championship Match: Jacy Jayne defeated Stephanie Vaquer (c) by pinfall to win the title!!
