WWE Monday Night Raw is making its premiere on Netflix tonight at 8/7c, emanating out of the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles!
Tonight's episode is set to be a big one, featuring the return of John Cena starting his farewell tour, an appearance from Logan Paul, Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat to determine ownership of the ula fala and the Tribal Chief moniker, Liv Morgan defending the Women's World Championship against longtime l "The Eradicator" Rhea Ripley in what was originally slated to be a Last Woman Standing match but has seemingly been changed to just a regular singles match, CM Punk against Seth Rollins for the first time since they last stepped in the ring together in December 2013, "The Scottish Warrior" Drew McIntyre against "Main Event" Jey Uso, the likely debut of Penta El Zero Miedo after numerous teases, the return of "The Man" Becky Lynch, and who knows what else?!
Trustworthy scooper WrestleVotes has indicated tonight's show is slated to run 3.5 hours, as under Netflix, there are no traditional broadcasting time frames WWE has to follow. Paul "Triple H" Levesque has already referred to this as being a more flexible scheduling, wherein Raw can be under or over the 3 hour mark on any given week depending on what they plan on having for the show. Commercials are expected to operate differently as well, with international viewers not having commercial breaks, but being shown "exclusive content" instead (and unfortunately, United States viewers still having commercials).
This post will fill you in on all the results of the match winners and any other highlights that happen, so stay tuned for live coverage and keep refreshing for the newest updates!
Here are your results for the January 6, 2025 edition of WWE Raw and the Main Event tapings that took place beforehand as well.
WWE Main Event Tapings Spoilers:
WWE Raw 1/6/2025 Results:
- This 3 minute cold open video package narrated by Triple H is the start of the show. Triple H was then in the ring to hype up the Netflix Era as he called it.
- The Rock came out for a promo, hyping up the Netflix partnership as well, and interestingly was very positive toward Cody Rhodes, who is ringside.
- Tribal Combat Match: Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa by pinfall. After the match, Reigns was bestowed the ula fala not by Paul Heyman (who was ready to do so), but by The Rock.
- John Cena cut a promo about how it's not realistic that he can main event and win his 17th world title...unless he were to win the Royal Rumble, that is. He then declared himself as the first official entrant in this year's Royal Rumble match.
- A vignette aired about Logan Paul making this his priority instead of a side gig.
- Women's World Championship Match: Rhea Ripley defeated Liv Morgan (c) by pinfall to win the title! After the match, Ripley low-blowed Dirty Dominik Mysterio and got a fist-bump from The American Bad Ass himself, The Undertaker.
- Backstage, Chad Gable and American Made interrupted Adam Pearce's interview with Cathy Kelley (after Pearce was shaking hands with Bayley, possibly indicating a switch to the Raw roster for her). Gable wants Pearce to put him in the ring with the single greatest luchador he can find.
- Jey Uso defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall with a roll-up.
- Gunther had a vignette about how this isn't a new era for him, as he is still The Ring General and so on.
- Backstage, comedian "Fluffy" Gabriel Iglesias was about to be interviewed by Cathy Kelley when they were interrupted by The New Day, who complained they should be interviewed instead. Alpha Academy then came over to embrace Iglesias and start a "New Day sucks" chant.
- Also backstage, Paul Heyman hyped up Roman Reigns as the end-all be-all. They need a platform for the whole world to acknowledge him. Reigns suggested January 27th and they walked into a room with a WWE 2K25 sign on it.
- Hulk Hogan came out to once more say how great it is WWE is working with Netflix, as well as promote his beer, to a chorus of boos from the audience.
- Several matches were announced for next week, including seemingly Penta's debut match against Chad Gable pushed to next Monday alongside Sheamus versus Ludwig Kaiser, the finals of the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship tournament between Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria, and a Street Fight between Damian Priest and Finn Balor.
- CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins by pinfall.
