Preview & Predictions for WWE Royal Rumble 2026:

On tap for tonight's event, there will obviously be the two titular battle royal matches with the Men's Royal Rumble and the Women's Royal Rumble, but the two other matches are extremely important as well.

AJ Styles will seemingly wrestle his last match in WWE, if ever, against "The Ring General" Gunther, as if he loses, he will be forced to retire. All signs seem to point to Styles coming out of this with a loss and wrapping things up to finish out his contract, but you never know.

Drew McIntyre will also defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn. While I feel like it is an extreme long shot Zayn will take the belt, I didn't feel McIntyre was going to beat Cody Rhodes for the title in the first place, so WWE could be shaking things up quite a bit and Zayn as champion isn't a foregone guaranteed no.

Regarding the Women's Royal Rumble, I'm expecting Bianca Belair to come back as a surprise entrant and to win it, going on to face Jade Cargill at WrestleMania. If not that, I think the next people to watch out for are Liv Morgan (to challenge Stephanie Vaquer) and Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky (to challenge Vaquer), depending on if Belair is actually in the match, which hasn't been confirmed in any way.

The handful of names for the Men's Royal Rumble that I'm keeping an eye on are Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bron Breakker, Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi, Gunther, and Seth Rollins, if he's in the match. Everything feels like it's on the table, so I have no faith in picking a winner between them. If someone else were to win, I'd be very surprised.
