This weekend is a big one for WWE, as it will hold Saturday Night's Main Event, Evolution 2, and NXT's Great American Bash. SummerSlam is also on the horizon, and when it takes place in August, it'll be the first time that it's a two-night event like WrestleMania.
As always, rumours are swirling about what to expect, and we have another round of big updates for you. From WWE's plans for Bron Breakker (they're huge) to some Evolution 2 surprises and Corey Graves' future, there's a lot to get into.
Needless to say, potential spoilers for upcoming WWE shows and storylines will follow; there are also a couple of big injury updates for a couple of popular WWE Superstars currently missing in action.
You can read through these latest WWE rumours below:
- Bron Breakker is currently allied with Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. WWE views him as a top star (no duh), and the long-term plan will reportedly see him turn on Rollins and get Heyman as his manager.
- According to PW Insider, WWE Hall of Famers Alundra Blayze and Jazz are both scheduled to be at this weekend's Evolution 2 event. TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, meanwhile, will be at NXT's Great American Bash.
- WWE is mulling over a heel turn for Blake Monroe, reports Fightful Select.
- The site has also confirmed that even though Tamina Snuka is still under contract with WWE, she isn't listed on the company's internal roster and is rarely found backstage at shows.
- @WrestleVotes has learned of discussions to bring in The IInspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee) from TNA for Evolution 2.
- Former WWE Superstar Isla Dawn was recently backstage at an AEW show and is expected to debut with the company imminently.
- Multiple outlets have claimed that we'll see Jelly Roll appear on this week's SmackDown, setting up whatever his planned role at SummerSlam is.
- Talking of WWE PLEs, the company is considering moving Survivor Series: WarGames off next year's Thanksgiving weekend to accommodate a planned November show in Saudi Arabia.
- @WrestleVotes says there's "a strong contingency" in WWE who want to see Corey Graves calling a main roster show, regardless of Pat McAfee's availability. While they "understand the value that McAfee brings to the company," these people also believe Graves is "way too good and way too passionate" to be permanently relegated to NXT.
- As a result, he could join McAfee and Michael Cole on RAW, though the insider "can't confirm as of this moment if WWE has any interest in bringing back the old three-man booths for TV or not."
- A couple of injury updates for you, as Tyler Bate has confirmed on Instagram that he's not injured and is instead waiting to be used by WWE. Zoey Stark, meanwhile, has suggested that she could be ready to return in around 8 months.
