With Clash in Italy taking place this weekend, the rumour mill is in overdrive as new backstage updates continue to emerge ahead of WWE's next PLE.
Our latest WWE Rumor Roundup includes talk of new additions to The Vision, uncertainty surrounding Stephanie Vaquer's return, a potentially worrying update on Jacob Fatu, and fresh speculation about Leon Slater's future once his TNA contract expires.
There's also an interesting update on Enzo Amore’s WWE status, while new reports have shed light on the current favourites for some of Clash in Italy's biggest matches. Be warned, however, that spoilers follow...
- The Vision could soon have some new members, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE had discussed expanding the group even before Logan Paul’s recent injury. Maxxine Dupri is looking like a potential candidate following recent episodes of RAW.
- Leon Slater is reportedly expected to leave TNA for either WWE or AEW once his contract expires. Meltzer says that "the belief is Slater is going to WWE or AEW when his contract is up." Slater recently lost the X-Division Championship to Cedric Alexander in a 2-out-of-3 falls match on May 14 in Sacramento, ending his reign at 298 days and tying Austin Aries for the longest X-Division Title reign.
- He's also shared an update on the possibility of Enzo Amore and Big Bill reuniting in WWE. "The current plan has Enzo Amore to be in NXT soon," he writes, adding that nothing involving Big Bill is "official or even talked about heavily in the company," despite growing speculation outside WWE.
- Stephanie Vaquer's WWE return has reportedly been delayed again. According to PWInsider, there were pitches for her to appear on Monday’s RAW, but "as of today, she was not expected to travel to Italy." Vaquer has been off WWE television since the April 27 RAW, where Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attacked her backstage on behalf of Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
- Jacob Fatu may have suffered an injury during WWE’s live event in Liverpool ahead of his Tribal Combat match against Roman Reigns at Clash in Italy on May 31. Fatu defeated Solo Sikoa in a street fight during the show, with fans later claiming he limped backstage and was met by a doctor near the curtain. One attendee alleged Fatu landed awkwardly during the match and appeared to be in pain afterwards. However, there is currently no confirmation that Fatu was injured.
- Sources familiar with WWE's creative plans have reportedly informed @WrestleVotes that Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Rhea Ripley are viewed internally as favourites to win their respective matches at Clash In Italy.
