We're on the Road to WrestleMania and much is being said about who will join Triple H and Michelle McCool in this year's WWE Hall of Fame class.
One name we can seemingly forget about seeing alongside them is Jim Cornette. While the iconic manager and booker is worthy of a place in the WWE Hall of Fame - and there's certainly plenty of support from fans - Fightful Select reports that his name hasn't come up in "recent years."
WWE doesn't have an issue with him; instead, it sounds like the company feels he's content with his podcast and other projects (Cornette has said on multiple occasions he'd be unwilling to make the journey to the event too).
The site is also claiming that there have been enquiries from people on the convention and merchandising scene to see whether AJ Styles plans on signing a new WWE deal or could soon be a free agent.
Another update points to a big change in how WWE Superstars are paid; while Triple H has previously said that the minimum main roster wrestlers receive is $250,000 a year, that's risen to $350,000, with top stars like Roman Reigns and CM Punk obviously earning a great deal more.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that, of the recent releases, only Sonya Deville and Karl Anderson came as a surprise to those in the company. With regards to the latter, it was "because Anderson was injured and they usually don’t cut wrestlers while still recovering from surgery."
The newsletter also claims that Miro was "constantly pitching angles" for himself and ex-wife CJ Perry in AEW, only for them to fall on deaf ears. Things only got worse when she left the company and there were no plans for him to be used on TV before his recent release. Now, he's expected to return to WWE.
In other news, PW Insider has shared an update about Jade Cargill, confirming she's returned to the WWE Performance Center and "the belief is her creative plans for her return will be set very soon." With any luck, she'll be back in time for WrestleMania.
Interestingly, Michin recently appeared on The Speakeezy Podcast and revealed, "Because [marijuana is] more legal, they’ve kind of accepted it. So before, that used to be - marijuana used to be on the drug list and they took that off a couple years ago. So, when I get home on Saturdays, I’ll do that, and just chill out all day and then I get back into the gym on Sunday. Sunday through Wednesday, I work out."
