It's hard to believe that we're mere days away from John Cena's final match at Saturday Night's Main Event. Still, it won't be long until we're back on the Road to WrestleMania, as the Royal Rumble is also fast approaching.
In our latest WWE rumor roundup, we have news on all those shows and updates on Superstars like LA Knight, AJ Lee, and perhaps even a returning Chris Jericho. There are also updates on The Vision's mystery masked man and various other future storylines and matches.

- John Cena's retirement match against Gunther is expected to open Saturday Night's Main Event, reports Bryan Alvarez. With the show streaming exclusively on Peacock, "Cena will get as much time as he wants" for his send-off, and he stresses that "everyone will get all the time they need."
- Despite missing the previous Saturday Night's Main Event show, Jesse "The Body" Ventura will return at this weekend's event, per @WrestleVotes.
- Monday's RAW ended with LA Knight taking a beating from The Vision that wasn't too different from when Ricochet was permanently written off television before his release (both assaults ended with Bronson Reed delivering a Tsunami Splash on a car). Fightful Select has since confirmed that the Megastar has "years left" on his deal and that this was a "standard story beat."
- As for theories that Knight is being punished for holding up a sign saying "We want LA Knight, not Jey Uso" in October, the site's sources have dismissed the notion entirely.
- In fact, BodySlam.net reports that Knight is being positioned for a huge babyface push in 2026 and is viewed as a top star by WWE.
- The same site says that Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre's next match will have "significant storyline implications for both men." Wrestling Observer Newsletter explains that Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns is still being planned, but "not necessarily" for WrestleMania.
- Dave Meltzer also writes that, "There has been talk of transitioning Nikki Bella to a heel manager role down the line."
- The professional wrestling historian reveals that TNA is pushing for AJ Styles to return next month to wrestle a match as part of the first show of its new TV deal with AMC.
- Meltzer later reported that Paul Heyman wanted Austin Theory in The Vision "largely to make him a star and to protect [Bron] Breakker and [Bronson] Reed from having to take pins." He even posits that if the mystery masked man angle continues into next year, "it could be Chris Jericho" who is revealed as the faction's latest member.
- Looking ahead to next month's Royal Rumble, we're sure you won't be surprised to learn that Wrestlevotes Radio believes Bron Breakker is currently WWE's "whiteboard favourite" to win the 30-man Rumble match in Saudi Arabia.
- AJ Lee is planned to be part of the 30-woman Rumble match, according to the outlet.
