Survivor Series: WarGames takes place this weekend, and before you know it, we'll be back on the road to WrestleMania. That's always an exciting time of year for WWE fans, but 2025 isn't over yet (John Cena's retirement is still on the horizon, remember).
In our latest WWE rumor roundup, we have updates on Liv Morgan's WWE return, Dave Bautista's long-overdue WWE Hall of Fame induction, Penta's injury, and a bizarre story about an alleged sexual relationship between Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels.
Check out these latest WWE rumors below, but be warned that some potential spoilers for upcoming events follow...
- According to PW Insider's Mike Johnson, there's a chance that Liv Morgan will make her return at Survivor Series: WarGames to help Dominik Mysterio regain the Intercontinental Championship from John Cena. However, January still seems more likely.
- Fightful Select reports that several WWE Superstars were "very surprised" by AJ Lee's appearance on Stephanie McMahon's podcast, largely because of their previous clash on social media.
- Talking on Monte & The Pharaoh, Marty Jannetty shared his take on Bret Hart's previous allegations that Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels had a sexual relationship. "They might have, but that’s not a secret," he said. "In the wrestling world, amongst the boys, that wasn’t a surprise."
- For what it's worth, Jim Cornette countered by saying, "Physically, logistically, there was barely a point in time where it actually could have taken place…they would have had to have [frick]ing done it at four o’clock in the morning behind a Coke machine. It’s ridiculous for somebody not to have busted them at the time."
- We also have WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross' take. He called the relationship claims "bullsh*t" and said that Hart is looking to keep his name in the headlines as "a bitter guy trying to stir the shit." Still, Ross did acknowledge, "Privately, it’ll piss [Vince] off a little bit, and he’ll internalise it."
- The reason Dave Bautista/Batista still isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame is due to repeated scheduling issues, reports Fightful.
- The site has also learned that Anna Jay's AEW contract is up soon and that WWE is on the table for her. Meanwhile, there's still no word on what's happening with Britt Baker.
- Addressing Penta's injury on RAW this past Monday, Bryan Alvarez explains that the show went to commercial as an audible to buy some time after it was apparent that something had gone wrong with the Luchadore. The match was called off during the break, and the original plan called for Penta's bout with Solo Sikoa to last roughly 12 minutes.
- The WWE teasers on social media are indeed for an upcoming WrestleMania commercial, this time featuring the company's female Superstars.
