From the latest on Roman Reigns, GUNTHER, and Brock Lesnar to backstage updates on Randy Orton, Jordynne Grace, Bron Breakker, Stephanie Vaquer, and more, here's our latest WWE rumor roundup...
- WWE added a new stipulation to Saturday Night's Main Event that leaves the door open to GUNTHER and Sami Zayn joining CM Punk and Cody Rhodes in their Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam, potentially turning it into a Fatal 4-Way. However, PWInsider reports that GUNTHER vs. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is now "100% set" for SummerSlam.
- The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that the current expectation within WWE is for Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins to headline SummerSlam Night 2 on Sunday, August 2.
- WrestleVotes Radio reports that Nikki Bella's name has recently resurfaced in WWE creative discussions for the first time since she was removed from her WrestleMania match due to injury. Those within the company reportedly believe her return is imminent, fuelling speculation she could make her comeback as soon as Saturday Night's Main Event, where Paige and Brie Bella defend the Women's Tag Team titles against Fatal Influence.
- They've also speculated that, with Randy Orton expected to be in New York City this weekend, he could finally return at Saturday Night's Main Event inside Madison Square Garden.
- The outlet has also revealed that several members of WWE's creative team wanted Matt Cardona to return under his former Zack Ryder moniker, believing that's the identity most fans associate him with. While there has been a recent tease during his storyline with Danhausen, there's reportedly no indication WWE is actually planning to make the switch.
- Fightful says that, while Jordynne Grace is "at TV sometimes," WWE currently has "no vision for her." Apparently, creative has "no idea what to do with her," a surprise given the hype surrounding her debut with the company.
- Self Made Pro claims Bron Breakker has become increasingly unhappy with the way he's been used creatively this year. The report alleges he even spoke with people inside WWE about being removed from his current role and placed into a different creative program. Breakker is currently one-half of the World Tag Team Champions while aligned with Austin Theory, Maxxine Dupri, and Logan Paul in The Vision, a faction that now appears to be operating without Paul Heyman.
- They also revealed that WWE originally intended to book Brock Lensar vs. GUNTHER at SummerSlam before plans changed to The Beast taking on The Ruler, Oba Femi.
- Stephanie Vaquer will "likely around SummerSlam, the week before or at SummerSlam," reveals WrestleVotes.
