We've already brought you a rundown of everything that happened at Saturday Night's Main Event. Still, there are two moments worth singling out, given their huge impact on WWE programming as we head toward Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.
The show opened with CM Punk and Sami Zayn teaming up to battle Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. However, just as the babyfaces started to gain the advantage, Bronson Reed made his shocking return to WWE and sent the Second City Saint through the barricade at ringside.
That meant Breakker could take Zayn out with a Spear for the 1-2-3, and after the match, Reed crushed Punk in the ring with his patented Tsunami from the top rope.
WWE clearly has big plans for Reed and Breakker, especially as they've been paired up with Rollins and Heyman. Assuming things pan out as planned, we're likely looking at two of the company's next top stars.
Later in the show, Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena made short work of R-Truth, but after a backstage confrontation with Jey Uso, the Leader of the Cenation made his presence felt during the World Heavyweight Champion's match against Logan Paul.
Cena attacked Uso after taking out the referee, prompting Cody Rhodes to make his long-awaited return to WWE! The American Nightmare hit Cena with a Cross Rhodes, while Uso took down Paul with a Spear and Uso Splash. After the match, Rhodes challenged Cena and Paul to a tag team match at Money in the Bank, naming Jey as his partner.
It's previously been reported that Travis Scott will be part of this bout, so it could become a six-man tag in the coming weeks. However, it also means Rhodes won't be competing for the Money in the Bank briefcase as some fans hoped he would.
