Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown (January 24, 2025) emanates out of the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. It'll be the go-home show heading into WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, so any last-minute adjustments to that card as well as all the follow-up from last week's episode should be expected.
This post here will be updated frequently throughout the night to reflect live coverage of Friday Night SmackDown, including all the match results, rundowns of the promos, and any other interesting or noteworthy things that take place. Keep refreshing for updates to find out all the winners and more!
In the meantime, what's on tap for this episode?
LA Knight will face Tama Tonga to piggyback off last week's brawling segment, wherein Knight and Braun Strowman fought off Tonga and Jacob Fatu. Strowman and Fatu will face off at Saturday Night's Main Event, but can be expected to be ringside for this segment in some fashion. Whether or not we'll hear from Solo Sikoa remains unknown, as he was scheduled to talk last week, only to not say a word and just leave.
The only other match currently announced is a tag team bout between Motor City Machine Guns and Pretty Deadly. Over the past few weeks, Pretty Deadly have been doing the dirty work of #DIY, but ultimately failing Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa in every which way. As Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin head toward a rematch for the WWE Tag Team Championships, it should be expected they'll be victorious here, but with tension in the tag team division (and Apollo Crews sticking his nose in the tag team champions' business), don't be surprised if people like Los Garza or The Street Profits somehow get involved here as well.
With 3 hours to pack, there will undoubtedly be more on the show than just these two matches. Michin and B-Fab's feud with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven should continue, as well as more from Tiffany Stratton, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, and who knows what else? Let's find out starting at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network!
