Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for today's episode, tons of WWE Superstars will be battling it out for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Traditionally, this features somewhere between 20 and 30 people who are all not scheduled to compete at WrestleMania. I gave my full predictions here, breaking down all the possible names, but the TL;DR is to watch out for Randy Orton's involvement, someone like Aleister Black or Miro returning, or more importantly, Rey Fenix and Ludwig Kaiser as the possible winners.

Last week, Zelina Vega scored a win over the women's United States champion Chelsea Green by count-out, which had set up a six-woman tag where Vega teams with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter against The Green Regime. However, that match was changed to a singles non-title bout between Vega and Green. As a non-title match, it only makes sense for Vega to win so she can then gain a title shot out of that.

The Street Profits will also put the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against The Motor City Machine Guns. A title change is certainly possible, but Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford just won those belts, so it wouldn't be nuts for this to devolve into chaos with other teams like #DIY, Melo Don't Miz, and Pretty Deadly getting involved.

John Cena is also set to be on the show for a promo segment driving home the point of his match with Cody Rhodes for the main event of WrestleMania 41.

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - April 18, 2025:

  • Promo: Seth Rollins talked about his Triple Threat to come tomorrow night and how important it is for him to win.
  • Carmelo Hayes won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
  • Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley were cutting a promo about their title match when Naomi interrupted to have some words with Belair. Jade Cargill then came out and eventually, Naomi hit Cargill from behind, pushing her into Ripley, who fought with Belair, all while Iyo Sky took some of them and some officials out with a moonsault.
  • WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits (c) (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) ended in a disqualification after #DIY interfered. Later on, Nick Aldis announced that all three teams will be in a TLC match next week on SmackDown.
  • Promo: Randy Orton said he'll be at WrestleMania on Sunday, ready for a match, in what is essentially an open challenge.
  • Non-Title Match: Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green by pinfall.
  • LA Knight vs Solo Sikoa by disqualification after interference from Jacob Fatu. Braun Strowman came out to help and that resulted in an impromptu tag team match. LA Knight & Braun Strowman defeated Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa by pinfall.
  • Six-Man Tag Team Match: Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Rey Fenix defeated American Made (Chad Gable, Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) by pinfall.
  • Promo: John Cena and Cody Rhodes talked in the ring and the show ended with Rhodes laying out Cena.
