Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for tonight's episode, nothing has been truly announced at the time I am writing this. That makes for a hard round of predictions, considering everything is just worded as basically following up on the stories in a vague way.
For example, "What carnage awaits en route to Jacob Fatu's Unsanctioned Match against Drew McIntyre?" and "How will Rhea Ripley respond to back-to-back attacks by Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab?" Actually, they have a typo of "response", which shows the level of care that goes into promoting tonight's show.
Given how WWE tends to operate, some things are fairly safe to say ahead of time.
Rhea Ripley will almost certainly face Michin in a match. She fought B-Fab last week, so that's the next logical step to give The Eradicator something to do that isn't getting physical with Jade Cargill.
Regarding the rivalry between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre, but I don't think those two will end up getting too physical. Save it for the unsanctioned match.
Since this is St. Louis, it'll be The Viper's territory, so I expect a lot of babyface reactions for him even if that isn't the intended goal. Hopefully, they've figured out a good way to circumvent the negatives from the Rhodes and Stephanie McMahon segment on Monday Night Raw.
There should definitely be some follow-up about Carmelo Hayes losing the Men's United States Championship to Sami Zayn. Maybe a rematch between the two, possibly even to set up Hayes being added to the already scheduled match between Zayn and Trick Williams? Or, sadly, maybe Hayes gets pushed aside entirely and definitively so that WWE keeps it a singles match and tells fans they're ignoring their support for Melo.
Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green (with Alba Fyre), and Giulia (with Kiana James) will probably spin their wheels some more, maybe finally getting confirmation of a WrestleMania match between them for the Women's United States Championship.
With three hours to fill, expect more on the MFTs vs Wyatt Sicks feud, Danhausen cursing Kit Wilson and/or The Miz, and more.
All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - April 3, 2026:
- Randy Orton opened the show to cut a promo in the ring about his WrestleMania match against Cody Rhodes, who came out for a quick fight, but was beaten down by both The Viper and the person he's been talking to on the phone: Pat McAfee, who trash talked how WWE has gotten terrible and it would be better with someone like Orton on top.
- Rhea Ripley defeated Michin by submission and then fought alongside Iyo Sky against Michin, B-Fab, and Jade Cargill.
- Uncle Howdy defeated Tama Tonga by pinfall. Tonga was replacing Solo Sikoa, who told him to defend The Wyatt Sicks' lantern. However, after Tonga lost by telling Sikoa he didn't want to cheat to win, Tonga then gave up the lantern, arguing that they didn't need it, causing more tension with Sikoa.
- A promo segment between Sami Zayn, Trick Williams, Lil Yachty (who will be with Trick at WrestleMania), and Carmelo Hayes revolved around Hayes calling out how he deserves a rematch for the United States Championship and Zayn reluctantly agreeing to it, but trying to justify not doing it, furthering his potential heel turn to come.
- Aleister Black defeated Matt Cardona by pinfall.
- Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley & Lyra Valkyria by pinfall and everyone was beaten up by Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
- Danhausen almost reversed the curse from Kit Wilson, but The Miz ruined it. R-Truth and Damian Priest then defeated Kit Wilson and The Miz by pinfall to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship titles.
- United States Championship Match: Sami Zayn (c) defeated Carmelo Hayes
