Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown (August 29, 2025) emanates out of the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France and will air at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network, but is actually being taped in advance due to the time difference and will air internationally on Netflix at 2pm ET.

This post here will be updated frequently throughout the night to reflect live coverage of Friday Night SmackDown, including all the match results, rundowns of the promos, and any other interesting or noteworthy things that take place. Keep refreshing for updates to find out all the winners and more!

Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight's episode, the men's United States Championship is on the line with Solo Sikoa defending against Sami Zayn. Over recent weeks, Zayn has gotten the better end of his scraps with MFT. On his quest to become a world champion, Zayn also needs to check off winning this title if he wants to become a Grand Slam Champion, so it's entirely possible he can win the title. It would give the people in France something to pop about as well. I don't necessarily think that will happen, as more often than not, heels retaining on television is the course of action, but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

When it comes to the WWE Women's Tag Team Champinship match, I wholeheartedly just put all my eggs into the baskets of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair retaining their titles. They're not losing them to The Secret Hervice this quickly. As good as that group is, The Green Regime only works as a Chelsea Green vehicle, and not for Alba Fyre and Piper Niven in the long run. They're challengers, not champions. Sorry.

In the men's tag team division, Carmello Hayes and The Miz will face The Street Profits after both teams have been getting wins as of late. Since this is a No. 1 contender's bout, and the most interesting story is Melo Don't Miz facing The Wyatt Sicks instead of The Street Profits getting another shot, I'm going with the heels.

All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - August 29, 2025:

  • Logan Paul and John Cena opened the show with a half hour long promo to hype up their match for Sunday, featuring the same sorts of criticisms against each other that they've already said. The only real highlight here was Cena apologizing to the "Sad Cena Kid" from when he was a heel.
  • There was a backstage segment where Bo Dallas (not Uncle Howdy) spoke to The Street Profits (and B-Fab) about the idea of brotherhood, getting in their heads since they're fighting to potentially earn a tag team title shot.
  • Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were scheduled to face The Secret Hervice with the tag team titles on the line, but The Green Regime attacked them ahead of time. Charlotte Flair was rendered too injured to compete, so the title match was ruled off and it turns into Alexa Bliss against Chelsea Green in singles competition instead.
  • Alexa Bliss defeated Chelsea Green by pinfall. Charlotte Flair limped out to try to help Bliss fight off Green and Alba Fyre, but the champs fell. No Piper Niven today.
  • Aleister Black had a vignette/video package talking about how he warned Damian Priest, who responded in turn with a threat of his own.
  • Michin defeated Kiana James by pinfall with a roll-up immediately after the bell rang. James and Giulia then beat up Michin.
  • Drew McIntyre called out Randy Orton, and the two of them got into a fight. Later, Nick Aldis was upset with Orton over what he did to the security guards that were separating them, and Orton gave Aldis some Fireball as an apology. R-Truth asked Aldis if he was going to drink that, and Aldis said he definitely would.
  • No. 1 Contenders' Match: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated Melo Don't Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) by pinfall.
  • Backstage, Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton argued over who is going to win their rematch.
  • United States Championship Match: Sami Zayn defeated Solo Sikoa (c) by pinfall to win the title!
