Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight's episode, originally, both of the United States champions were said to be in action for the Canadian crowd, but that has seemingly changed since last week.

Chelsea Green's opponent was never revealed, as she was only wrestling primarily because she complained to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis last week that she should be competing in Canada in an attempt to get herself and Piper Niven inserted into the Elimination Chamber match at Bianca Belair's and Naomi's expenses.

Shinsuke Nakamura was initially set to defend his title against LA Knight, who he defeated to win the title coincidentally in Canada (Vancouver) at Survivor Series: WarGames back on November 30, 2024. However, they've backtracked on that, and instead, are advertising that there will be three "qualifying matches" culminating in a Triple Threat match to determine the No. 1 contender. LA Knight will face Santos Escobar, Andrade will face Solo Sikoa, and Braun Strowman will face Carmelo Hayes. Frankly, I think this is a long-winded way of stalling just to go back around to the LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match as intended, and I think Knight will end up beating Sikoa and Strowman to do so.

Trish Stratus is listed as just "coming to SmackDown ahead of Elimination Chamber", so that means there will be a promo segment with Tiffany Stratton just to hype their match, with a possible fight breaking out with Nia Jax and Candice LeRae, and nothing more.

There will undoubtedly also be promo segments hyping up Elimination Chamber, more tension between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa, and the continued implosion of the tag team division. Be sure to keep following along for all the results as they go down!

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - February 28, 2025:

  • Trish Stratus opened the show, eventually inviting out Tiffany Stratton so they could have a promo about their match tomorrow. They were interrupted by Chelsea Green and Piper Niven (who came out dressed as The Mountie). Green talked about how she got out of Canada and is now representing the United States of America as the Women's United States Champion. This led to a match, where Tiffany Stratton defeated Chelsea Green by disqualification after Nia Jax and Candice LeRae got involved. Stratton and Stratus sent Jax and LeRae packing, though.
  • Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga were backstage. Sikoa said he wants Fatu to replace him in the United States Championship matches tonight to show how much he loves him, resulting in yet another change to the originally advertised material.
  • Backstage, Cody Rhodes saw a bunch of wine and food sprawled out in his locker room, which was supposedly courtesy of The Rock. R-Truth was already there, eating some shrimp and mixing up The Rock with his father, "The Soulman" Rocky Johnson, saying he used to watch The Rock team with Tony Atlas. Rhodes tells R-Truth to help himself and R-Truth requests some jelly rolls.
  • Qualifying Match: Jacob Fatu defeated Andrade by pinfall.
  • The Street Profits and Los Garza were going to have a match, only for #DIY, Pretty Deadly, and The Motor City Machine Guns to all come out to brawl before the bell could ring.
  • Backstage, Drew McIntyre tells Cody Rhodes that since he didn't respond quickly to The Rock's offer, it means he sold his soul a long time ago.
  • After the commercial break, a video package about John Cena was airing, but was cut off by Drew McIntyre, who cut a promo about how Cena's become a hypocrite, making fun of his bald spot, and saying he's going to bury Cena at Elimination Chamber. Damian Priest then interrupted The Scottish Warrior to say McIntyre complains all the time and R-Truth makes more sense than Drew, and pointing out that McIntyre is obsessed with CM Punk. Priest is going to take pride in taking out McIntyre at Elimination Chamber tomorrow. Seth Rollins then came out to get in his "I'm going to win tomorrow" speech of his own. CM Punk was next to do the same. Surprisingly, John Cena's music then hit, only for Logan Paul to come out instead to troll the audience and badmouth the others until Punk threatened to go after him, so Paul ran off to end the segment.
  • Qualifying Match: LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar by pinfall.
  • Promo: Sami Zayn invited Kevin Owens to the ring, but Owens was at Rogers Arena instead. They talked trash to hype their unsanctioned match tomorrow.
  • Qualifying Match: Carmelo Hayes defeated Braun Strowman by disqualification after some interference from Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga, ultimately confusing the referee into thinking that Strowman had hit Hayes with a steel chair.
  • Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez defeated Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Bayley by pinfall. After the match, Alexa Bliss showed up to take out Roxanne Perez with her "Abigail DDT" finisher.
  • TBD - Michin segment with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven
  • TBD - WWE United States Championship No. 1 Contender's Triple Threat Match: TBD vs TBD vs TBD
  • TBD - Promo: Cody Rhodes
