Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for today's episode, we'll see appearances by Cody Rhodes (who will undoubtedly talk about his upcoming match next week against John Cena at WWE SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship - likely in the main event segment of the night) as well as Jelly Roll will be in attendance to carry on his storyline alongside Randy Orton opposite Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre for that SummerSlam match as well.
Continuing the women's tag team titles setup, as Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will challenge for those belts next weekend, Bliss will be in action against Roxanne Perez. Last week, Flair beat Raquel Rodriguez, so the same stands a good chance to happen tonight as well. Perez could score an upset, though, just to even things out between the two teams.
The men's tag team titles are actually going to be defended on this episode with The Wyatt Sicks against Andrade and Rey Fenix. I don't see the belts changing hands for multiple reasons, mostly because Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy just won those, and partially because Fenix and Andrade doesn't seem like a team that will carry on for a long time. I'm much more anticipating Fraxiom will be the ones to dethrone The Wyatt Sicks and I don't think Fenix wins tag team gold until he's properly teaming with his brother, Penta, to form The Lucha Bros.
All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - July 25, 2025:
- The show opened with a 10-bell salute to honor Hulk Hogan.
- Logan Paul cut a promo that was interrupted by Jelly Roll, who called Paul a silver spoon jerk and talked about how he himself grew up watching WWE and how he's stepping in the ring to represent everyone who Paul belittles. Drew McIntyre came out, followed by Randy Orton, and the babyfaces eventually won a quick scrap.
- Roxanne Perez defeated Alexa Bliss by pinfall.
- There was a backstage interview with Chelsea Green badmouthing Jade Cargill, who went straight up to her and started to beat her down, leading to an impromptu match. Jade Cargill defeated Chelsea Green by pinfall. Tiffany Stratton made the save post-match to help Cargill fight off The Secret Hervice.
- Cody Rhodes cut a promo thanking Hulk Hogan and repeating much of what he had said last week about how he doesn't want to have his street fight against "this version" of John Cena, but he'll see everyone at SummerSlam.
- The Miz approached Jacob Fatu backstage, mad about how Fatu had put him on the shelf, and we have another impromptu match.
- Jacob Fatu defeated The Miz by pinfall. Jimmy Uso once again helped Fatu fight off Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, Tonga Loa and Talla Tonga, but even with that backup and a steel chair, Sikoa's crew came out on top of the fight.
- Backstage, The Street Profits were interviewed by Cathy Kelley, saying that they don't care who wins the tag title match as they've got next. #DIY rolled up to complain and say that they need to stay out of the way of #DIY's plan.
- Andrade & Rey Fenix defeated The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) in their WWE Tag Team Championship match by disqualification (so no title change) due to Nikki Cross interfering, pulling the referee out of the ring to stop a pinfall. The rest of the tag teams on SmackDown then came out, leading to a giant brawl. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then announced that they'll all fight in a TLC match for the tag titles at SummerSlam.
