Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for tonight's episode, Kit Wilson has said that he's going to call out Jelly Roll. Last week, Jelly Roll was part of MizTV and had an interaction with both The Miz and Wilson, ultimately trying to punch Wilson, who moved out of the way and allowed The Miz to get struck instead. Technically, Jelly Roll also got pushed down by Randy Orton, but I doubt that's going to be his focal point in this segment. Is this possibly leading to Jelly Roll and Danhausen against Wilson and Miz for an upcoming show? Wild, if that's the case.
In tag team action, The Motor City Machine Guns will be up against Fraxiom. Chris Sabin has been getting frustrated with Alex Shelley's attention being divided with taking care of the depressed Johnny Gargano, so I fully expect Axiom and Nathan Frazer to be victorious and for Sabin to be more upset over how Shelley isn't prioritizing their MCMG tag team endeavors. The MFTs will also be defending the WWE Tag Team Championship against Damian Priest and R-Truth, which could go either way.
The women's tag team titles are also on the line again with The Irresistible Forces facing The Bella Twins. No matter what the outcome, we're totally getting a multi-team match at WrestleMania. Given how Nikki and Brie got involved last week in Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair's match, I'm expecting the same to happen in reverse and for this to be a disqualification or no-contest scenario to help further set up that multi-team match between at least those three pairs, if not also some others.
We'll also get more story beats for Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu, who are set for a "clash" that I don't see actually being a match as that needs to be at WrestleMania (so I'm expecting a brawl segment instead) as well as Randy Orton addressing why he attacked Cody Rhodes.
All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - March 20, 2026:
- The show opened with an extended brawl between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre.
- Damian Priest and R-Truth defeated the MFTs (JC Mateo and Tama Tonga) to win the WWE Tag Team Championship titles with a little help from The Wyatt Sicks interfering
- The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) by pinfall with a little help from Candice LeRae, who was in a segment earlier in the night where she paid Danhausen $20 to try to get him to help fix Johnny Gargano, but he just stole the money and left.
- Randy Orton had an in-ring promo where he said that he cares more about how much gold he wins than the smiles he puts on the faces of the crowd, and that he loses control when he listens to the voices in his head. Later, there was a backstage confrontation where Matt Cardona ended up getting knocked down by The Viper for standing up for Cody Rhodes. Nick Aldis turned down Cardona's request for a match against Orton for next week (for some reason).
- Aleister Black defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall. Earlier, Zayn and Trick Williams had a backstage confrontation, and during this match, Williams was ringside watching and would go on to throw his water on Zayn for pushing his foot out of the way. Zayn decided to fight with Trick, getting distracted and walking right into a Black Mass.
- Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley had another in-ring promo face-off, eventually ending with Michin and B-Fab joining Cargill to beat down Ripley.
- The Miz is still cursed as he continues to not want to mentor Danhausen.
- Solo Sikoa was upset over the tag titles changing hands. Tama Tonga accused him of sounding like Roman Reigns. Fatu and McIntyre then continued to brawl.
- Jelly Roll had a backstage segment with Randy Orton about how he shouldn't be acting like this. Kit Wilson then had a slam poetry battle with Jelly Roll in the ring and took him out. Jelly Roll then talked to Nick Aldis about a match with Kit Wilson for next week.
- Giulia and Kiana James were upset about Tiffany Stratton, but not enough to want to become friends with Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre over their mutual enemy. Irresistible Forces then pushed Green away.
- The Bella Twins had a backstage interview segment wherein Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair interrupted (while eating ice cream) to say that they wanted the next shot. In the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match between The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend & Nia Jax) (c) and The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella), Flair and Bliss got involved, leading to the match being thrown out, just like last week.
- Randy Orton went to the ring to apologize to Matt Cardona, but decided to attack him. While that chaos was going down, Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre were still brawling and fell off some scaffolding from a high height outside to end the show with a cliffhanger (or, I guess you could say, the lack thereof)
