Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for today's episode, WWE is heavily promoting more than anything else (because of their name value) that CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins will all be on the show. As none of them are announced yet for any kind of a match, this means we're in store for a promo that will lead to them fighting, or they might just all start to brawl from the onset. This may open the show, or it may close it.
Jade Cargill is back in action with her first official match since her injury hiatus. She'll be facing Liv Morgan. As Morgan has Raquel Rodriguez to back her up, while Cargill is not only on her own now (with Bianca Belair doing her own thing) but also has Naomi she's feuding with, it wouldn't be surprising if Naomi and/or Rodriguez interferes and Cargill ends up taking a loss. However, that could just be a scenario where Cargill beats Morgan and then the attack happens. My guess? Cargill wins by disqualification after someone interferes while the match is still going on.
Zelina Vega wants a shot at Chelsea Green's Women's United States Championship. Piper Niven has said that Vega will have to go through her first. Unless WWE wants to completely neuter Vega's momentum, she'll win this match. But it's certainly a possibility, as Green and Alba Fyre could be ringside causing issues. It all depends on if Vega has any backup in people like Michin and B-Fab who can help her offset the numbers game.
Finally, Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu will have another clash of the titans. Overall, Fatu is the one receiving the bigger push, so unless Solo Sikoa inadvertently costs him the match to further that feud, Fatu should be victorious.
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - March 21, 2025:
- The show opened with a promo between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Owens tried to apologize for attacking Orton (but said he's justified in what he did to both Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn), and said if Orton can forgive him for that, he can forgive Orton for taking Cody's side, and they can reform their team and go for the tag team titles at WrestleMania. However, Orton plans on kicking Owens's head off his shoulders at WrestleMania instead.
- Damian Priest and Jimmy Uso defeated Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall. Priest was taken out by McIntyre after the bell.
- Backstage, LA Knight told Braun Strowman he hopes that he smacks Jacob Fatu back to factory settings and that he'll be watching out for Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. Strowman says the winner of the match gets a United States title shot, and he's planning on not only winning this match against Fatu, but punching his ticket to WrestleMania.
- Ahead of their WWE Women's Championship match at WrestleMania, Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair talked trash to each other in a split screen interview promo. TL;DR = Flair says nobody compares to her, including Stratton, who says she used to look up to Flair, but she's now going to take her throne and prove that the WWE Universe has moved on and no longer bows down to her, but instead, runs on Tiffy Time.
- Braun Strowman defeated Jacob Fatu by disqualification as Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga interfered in the match. Costing him the win, Fatu was mad at Sikoa, but joined them in beating down on Strowman until LA Knight made the save. After the commercial break, Fatu tossed around some stuff backstage out of anger, and told Sikoa to mind his own business.
- Piper Niven defeated Zelina Vega by pinfall.
- The "4" teaser from last week is now "3"
- Liv Morgan defeated Jade Cargill by pinfall. Naomi had interfered to cost Cargill the match and continued to beat her down after the bell.
- Drew McIntyre had a moment backstage face-to-face with Seth Rollins after an interview with Cathy Kelley (where he just basically said that he'd be going after Damian Priest again next week in London).
- The Street Profits cut an in-ring promo about finally winning the tag titles after a four year drought. Legado del Fantasma interrupted, mad that Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford never apologized for thinking Los Garza attacked them, which makes it personal on top of how they want to dethrone them for the tag titles. Pretty Deadly came out to remind everyone that they won a No. 1 contenders' match, so they're the next in line for a championship shot. But that's not going to stop The Street Profits from offering a non-title match against Los Garza right now.
- The Street Profits defeated Los Garza by pinfall.
- Backstage, #DIY offered to help Pretty Deadly win the tag titles next week if they'll grant them the first title shot. Pretty Deadly turned them down, much to the amusement of The Motor City Machine Guns.
- Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk all talked trash to each other and then brawled, with each one pointing to the WrestleMania sign and calling out for a Triple Threat match in Las Vegas.
