Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for today's episode, John Cena and Cody Rhodes will be in attendance, meaning we can anticipate a promo segment between the two to try to build more hype for their tag team match (along with Logan Paul and Jey Uso respectively) for Money in the Bank, which is right around the corner.
Speaking of Money in the Bank, the final two spots for the SmackDown Superstars to be in the ladder matches will be determined with more Triple Threat qualifier matches. On the men's side, Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, and Jacob Fatu will battle it out, while the women's match is contested between Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Nia Jax.
The one outlier out of all of that is Andrade. He has no momentum to give him a win over Hayes or Fatu. Between those two, it could go either way, as Fatu is the bigger priority at the moment (unfortunately, even after Hayes won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal—but that doesn't mean as much as the United States Championship), so if WWE is going for pure star power, Fatu wins. He can also get the leg up on the competition with some interference from Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo. However, just the same, Sikoa is already in the ladder match, so that might be an indication Fatu loses this match due to some kind of inadvertent issues between Mateo and Sikoa accidentally costing him.
All three of the women competing could win it and it would make sense. Jade Cargill is the focal point, so she has the edge, but Naomi and Jax shouldn't be slept on.
All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - May 30, 2025:
- Bianca Belair kicked off the show with a promo that was interrupted by Naomi, who was looking to restore their friendship. When Belair wasn't interested, Naomi threatened to hurt her. Jade Cargill made the save, and this rolled into their scheduled Triple Thraet match.
- Triple Threat Women's Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Naomi defeated Nia Jax and Jade Cargill.
- Backstage, R-Truth had a run-in with Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and JC Mateo.
- After the commercial, Chelsa Green complained to Nick Aldis that since Zelina Vega broke her nose, she should be stripped of the title and Green should be given the belt. Aldis said she'll potentially get a rematch in the future, but she has to be medically cleared first. Alba Fyre and Piper Niven want revenge on Vega right now.
- Tiffany Stratton was interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton about Money in the Bank. Naomi came over to say she's going to win the briefcase and cash it in on Stratton. Alexa Bliss did the same.
- JC Mateo defeated R-Truth by pinfall.
- The Street Profits and Fraxiom had an in-ring promo about running back their title match. The Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY interrupted. Eventually, The Wyatt Sicks went on the attack again to lay everyone out.
- Los Garza (Angel& Berto) defeated Je'Von Evans and Rey Fenix by pinfall with some help from an interfering Ethan Page, who was ringside on commentary.
- Zelina Vega defeated Alba Fyre by pinfall.
- After a vignette about her, Giulia approached Vega and said she has her eyes on the Women's United States Championship.
- Damian Priest cut a promo about his steel cage match with Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event, followed by putting Jacob Fatu on notice.
- Triple Threat Men's Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Andrade defeated Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu by pinfall on Hayes due in part to Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo unintentionally distracting Fatu.
- LA Knight spoke to Byron Saxton backstage about how he's going to win Money in the Bank. Aleister Black interrupted to say "That win is partially mine. You're welcome."
- Promo: Cody Rhodes talked about his journey since losing the title at WrestleMania. He brought out Jey Uso. John Cena came out, followed by Logan Paul. After plenty trash talk, the babyfaces came out on top of a brief scrap.
