Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight's episode, Sami Zayn is set to continue carrying on the legacy of John Cena's United States Championship Open Challenge matches. Carmelo Hayes has been looking for another shot at the US title for a long enough time and bugged SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, ultimately getting his match for this show. This flies in the face of The Miz, Melo's tag team partner and mentor, who continues to try to convince Hayes to focus his attention on becoming tag team champions alongside The Miz so that Mike can also share in the riches. Whether that will get between them or not remains to be seen, but it can be assumed Sami Zayn will retain the title, as he has Solo Sikoa gunning to win that title back from him.

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair also seem like they'll be facing Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on the line. Bliss and Flair were previously scheduled to face Fyre and Piper Niven, but that match with The Secret Hervice got changed and Niven hasn't been seen in the past few weeks, along with how The Queen has been seemingly dealing with an injury. After fighting at NXT Homecoming, though, it can be assumed that this match won't be called off this time.

We'll also get something with Cody Rhodes to help sell his title match against Drew McIntyre, as this is the go-home show prior to Wrestlepalooza. Expect stuff for Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena and some other promotional material for the other matches (like AJ Lee and CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins) as well.

All that and more will go down tonight, so keep checking and refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - September 19, 2025:

  • The show started with Michael Cole and Corey Graves saying that Brock Lesnar decided he wanted his interview right now. Cole started walking to the back when Lesnar came out, picked him up, and carried him into the ring. Corey Graves went to the ring to
  • After the commercial break, Lesnar was leaving the arena and bumped into The Vision (sans Seth Rollins). Lesnar told Paul Heyman "We should talk" and left. Nick Aldis then warned Heyman and the Brons that he doesn't need any more problems tonight. Heyman came here to broker some peace between The Usos, who aren't there tonight, so they'll just enjoy the show then.
  • WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair (c) defeated The Green Regime (Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre) by pinfall.
  • Backstage, B-Fab told Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins to hash out their issues. They quickly apologized to each other and Tez went off to talk to Nick Aldis about a title shot. Bo Dallas then approached Dawkins, getting in his head. Tez pushed Dallas up against the wall and told him to stop trying to get between them. Erick Rowan then laid out both of The Street Profits.
  • Fraxiom were taken out by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed so that Heyman could have the ring for a promo. Axiom and Nathan Frazer went on the attack after, which set up a tag team match.
  • The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) defeated Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) by pinfall.
  • United States Championship Open Challenge Match: Sami Zayn (c) retained over Carmelo Hayes by pinfall.
  • Damian Priest beat up Kit Wilson (after interrupting him backstage), demanding Nick Aldis give him a match against Aleister Black or he'll punish the whole roster.
  • Contract Signing: Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre fought after some trash talk.
