Preview & Predictions for WWE SummerSlam 2025 Sunday:

It should be absolute chaos when over 12 Superstars (if you count Candice LeRae, Nikki Cross, Bo Dallas / Uncle Howdy, and Erick Rowan, who should all be ringside to help their squads) clash in a Six-Pack TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Ladder matches (because that's what TLC matches are—don't be fooled into thinking they're anything different) are great means to have people lose without "losing", as nobody has to take a pinfall. That means either The Wyatt Sicks can drop the belts to a team like Axiom without looking weak, but at the same time, Axiom (who I do think will be the next in line for the titles regardless if it happens tonight or another time) could come very close, fail to win the titles, and still work their way toward a title shot in the future. If The Wyatt Sicks don't retain, then Axiom wins, I think.

The stipulation for Becky Lynch against Lyra Valkyria is that if Lyra loses, she can't challenge for the Women's Intercontinental Championship anymore so long as Becky is champion. Frankly, this feud has gone on long enough that I'm hoping that's the outcome, and I do think that's where WWE is heading. It's time to change it up with these two.

I also expect Dominik Mysterio to retain his men's Intercontinental Championship over AJ Styles. To be honest, I'm also just writing off the idea that Jacob Fatu will win back the United States Championship, as he was not only the one who looked stronger on SmackDown (and PLE results usually reflect the opposite) but steel cage matches in his situation almost always backfire and the heels find a way to overcome the stipulation.

On a night where champions keep retaining, I think the same will apply to Naomi holding onto the Women's World Championship. I bet she pins Iyo Sky rather than Rhea Ripley. Stephanie Vaquer is the next in line for a title shot at Clash in Paris, so I think Naomi is the one who will hold the belt when that match happens.

But I do think we'll get a title change when it comes to John Cena against Cody Rhodes. Was that a true babyface turn on SmackDown, or just a setup? I'm suspicious. I hope it doesn't mean The American Nightmare turns heel, or that it's just a means for Cena to lower Cody's guard and then retain and keep this story going. I'd rather this just be babyface versus babyface, but even though I think Cena is dropping the title, I'm not quite sure both will walk out as fan favorites.
