The SummerSlam match card has quickly taken shape ahead of this weekend's two-night PLE, but one of the biggest bouts may be at risk.
Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul has received mainstream media attention, but the Scottish Warrior might not make it to New Jersey in time...provided he's not just trolling us all, of course.
In a video posted to his social media accounts, McIntyre claimed that he's been left stranded in the UK after being told he couldn't board his flight due to passport issues.
"It’s quite the week I’ve had. You want to know how it’s been capped off? I can’t get back in America. They wouldn’t let me board my flight," McIntyre shared. "Look at the scenic countryside. Does that look like an American scenic countryside? No, I’m in England, still at my buddy’s wedding. Planning to go back, train for SummerSlam. But no, no, no, no, no, I got blocked."
"Wife and I walked up to the gate trying to check in. Always goes perfectly fine. Not this time," he explained. "'Bro, you don’t have your US passport. I know who you are. I know you’ve lived there for a long time...but no way, we can’t let you in the country, buddy.'"
"My wife and I panic. We say we’ve got a sick animal at home. 'Go ahead, Babe, don’t think about me. Leave me behind.' She has to go against her will. Goes back home, look after the cat, and here I am," McIntyre concluded before blaming Jelly Roll for his possible SummerSlam absence.
McIntyre likes to have fun on social media, and there's every chance he's just looking to get fans talking. However, if there really is a risk he won't make it to SummerSlam, then WWE will need to move fast to find Paul a new partner as there's no way the bout is being called off.
