Due to all the chaos that the tag team division has been under for the past several months, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis sorted out a game plan on tonight's episode of SmackDown.

Explaining the situation and recapping what's been happening, Aldis announced that his idea was to book a Triple Threat No. 1 contenders' match between The Motor City Machine Guns, Los Garza, and Pretty Deadly to determine who would be the next in line for a title shot, but only after next week, when SmackDown comes to the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain, wherein #DIY will defend their titles against The Street Profits.

In that #1 contenders' match, Pretty Deadly scored a surprising upset, when Elton Prince managed to backslide Chris Sabin for the pinfall.

It wasn't announced when they would get their shot at the tag titles, as it obviously still is in the air who they will even face for it.

But that's not all that is scheduled for next week's SmackDown, as a few other announcements were made, too.

Backstage, Aldis was approached by The Miz and Carmelo Hayes, as The Miz pitched that he could get more information out of Cody Rhodes than what The American Nightmare had just talked about in his in-ring promo. Next week will be the debut of a new version of MizTV, dubbed "Melo Don't MizTV". Hayes didn't sign off on it, but wasn't opposed to it.

That is when they were interrupted by Randy Orton, as The Viper was looking for Kevin Owens. Aldis told him Owens wasn't there, and this all gave him the idea to book The Apex Predator against HIM for next week.

In a different backstage segment, Charlotte Flair was talking about how the women's division has gotten soft. B-Fab took offense to this and told her that nobody wants to bow down to The Queen anymore. Flair, naturally, told her that she'll prove it to her next week, as those two will be facing off in singles competition.

This means Pretty Deadly has a future tag team title shot that is up in the air, and next week on SmackDown, we can look forward to the following lineup and more:

  • WWE Tag Team Championship Match: #DIY (c) (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)
  • Charlotte Flair vs. B-Fab
  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Randy Orton
  • Melo Don't MizTV with Cody Rhodes
