Cody Rhodes is scheduled to return to Friday Night Smackdown.

It’s been confirmed that the WWE Undisputed Champion will defend his title against Drew McIntyre at WrestlePalooza. One thing's for sure, it should be a brutal and violent fight between the WWE veterans.

The Undisputed Champion made his grand return last week attacking his challenger after McIntyre’s match against Randy Orton. The third generation star had been on the shelf for weeks recovering from a vicious assault from McIntyre that resulted in him being put on the sidelines.

McIntyre demanded a title match. Cody Rhodes has granted him one. That could come back and haunt Drew McIntyre. But that is on Saturday. On Friday, Cody will make his final appearance before his scheduled championship match the following night.

Seeing at how pissed off Cody was last week, the WWE Undisputed Champion is sure to vent about his frustration regarding McIntyre and his title match at WrestlePalooza. But there’s also the issue with Randy Orton, in that the former WWE Champion lost clean on Friday Night Smackdown. Surely, Orton is going to walk into Smackdown on the hunt for Drew McIntyre.

Will Orton and Rhodes cross paths trying to beat up the same man?

Well, Drew McIntyre will surely be ready. In fact, the former WWE Champion wants a piece of Cody. More specifically, Drew McIntyre wants Cody’s ass.

Thus far, the only other thing advertised for Smackdown on Friday is Carmelo Hayes challenging Sami Zayn for the United States Championship. Sami has been doing an open challenge for the prestigious title since beating Solo Sikoa for it.

The week before last, it was John Cena. That match ended in a DQ due to Brock Lesnar. Last week, it was Rey Fenix and it was a tremendous bout that really allowed Fenix to show off what he can do. This week’s match should be no different with Carmelo Hayes, who’s been stuck in mid card purgatory for reasons that remain unknown.
