Due to last week's attack from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, this week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw (October 20, 2025) opened with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announcing that Seth Rollins would be stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins had been "banged up" after his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel (legitimately suffering an injury at that event), but because of the attack, nobody would get to know whether or not he would've been able to stay champion. Instead, he was so beaten down that he needed to undergo surgery, which has put him out of action indefinitely and forced Pearce's hand to vacate the title and set up some new plans.

Since CM Punk had already won a Triple Threat match last week against Jey Uso and LA Knight to become the No. 1 contender for the title at a future date, he has already been given a pass to fight for the relinquished title at the next WWE Saturday Night's Main Event special coming up on November 1st at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

His opponent would be determined in another No. 1 contender's match on this episode, which would be a battle royal.

After some "respectful" asking from Pearce, Breakker finally gave up the World Heavyweight Championship belt that he had just outright taken from Rollins after the beat down from last week.

Jey Uso ultimately went on to win the battle royal after dumping out both LA Knight and Jimmy Uso (who had saved him several times throughout the match), followed by Dominik Mysterio, who was actually eliminated earlier by AJ Styles, but the referees hadn't seen it.

With that in mind, this title match is currently the only thing scheduled for the 41st Saturday Night's Main Event.
