Preview & Predictions for WWE WrestleMania 41 - Night 1
On tap for the first half of WrestleMania, the main event will be CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns. No stakes are attached other than bragging rights, so any man can win and it would work out. With Paul Heyman somewhat owing Rollins a favor, being The Wise Man to The Tribal Chief, and Punk's best friend whom he will accompany to the ring, it could go any way. But since this is Punk's story more than anyone else's, I'll lean toward him.
The two other non-title matches are Jade Cargill vs. Naomi and El Grande Americano vs. Rey Fenix (replacing Rey Mysterio, who was injured last night on SmackDown). There's no way Cargill loses getting proper revenge on Naomi, as she's the bigger star for the push right now. Chad Gable, however, will likely continue to feud with Mysterio and company after this and it's too early for him to be unmasked, so watch out for El Grande Americano winning, especially since Fenix wasn't even the original plan.
Every title is probably going to change hands. The New Day beating The War Raiders is the only interesting outcome for that World Tag Team Championship match that has had such a small build to it. WWE perpetually puts titles on Charlotte Flair, and Tiffany Stratton will fall victim to the trap WWE puts up frequently of thinking "someone working on The Grandest Stage of Them All with Flair is just as good as retaining the title." Jacob Fatu has more momentum to put the United States title on him than to keep it on LA Knight, and after all this underdog story has been told about Jey Uso, it would be shocking to see him come up short against Gunther and fail to beat The Ring General yet again.
