Is Zoey Stark closer to returning?

Earlier this year, the WWE star suffered an unfortunate injury during her match with Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane. Stark attempted a missile dropkick onto Sane and her knee awkwardly buckled. It was revealed that Stark suffered tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, which required surgery. The good news is that this wasn’t a career ending injury as Stark is estimated to be out for six to twelve months.

We haven’t gotten much follow-up since the diagnosis. Until now. The WWE RAW star has posted a video giving fans an update about her recovery journey and though there’s been a few hiccups here and there, Stark is getting better each day.

The first time Stark posted, she revealed how mentally and physically draining the entire situation was on Men's Fitness:

“It’s been a little bit since I posted so I thought I would get on here and give you guys an update, and to be completely honest, it’s been both mentally and physically exhausting and frustrating and I’m in a spot right now with my knee where it’s not wanting to bend and give me the full range of motion that I am looking for, and as much as that sucks, it’s okay,” Stark said in a recent video. “I will push through this. I will find a way around it. I will get to where I need to get.”

She did highlight one bright side for her time away from the ring and being able to spend time with her family and friends.

“But there’s always a silver lining in a dark cloud, right? So there’s a couple things I’m happy for. I’m walking again, riding a stationary bike. We got a new puppy, Mad Max. Love that little guy. Seeing all of my animals, Sly the cat, Kai, and Max and them all play and get together, that lights my heart up so, that’s the joy of my day. But we’ll get through this.”

Prior to this freak accident, Stark was wrestling for WWE since 2021. She spent a decent amount of time in NXT and actually became the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Iyo Sky before joining the main roster in 2023. Stark came in as Trish Stratus’ heavy and she had a pair of strong matches against Becky lynch. However, she was floating around the mid-card since her pairing with Trish ended in 2023. Here’s wishing Stark the best and hopefully she can come back stronger and healthier than before!
