This week's episode of AEW Dynamite (for January 22, 2020) was taped in advance during Chris Jericho's Rock 'n' Wrestling Rager at Sea Part Deux: Second Wave on Tuesday, January 21st.

— AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega defeated SoCal Uncensored by pinfall to win the titles.

— Britt Baker defeated Priscilla Kelly by submission.

— The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Ortiz and Santana) defeated Jurassic Express by pinfall.

— MJF defeated Joey Janela by pinfall.

— There was a promo segment with Cody, The Young Bucks and MJF. While Cody can't touch MJF as per their stipulations, MJF's taunting got him beaten down by The Young Bucks, who have nothing preventing them from doing that on Cody's behalf.

— Jon Moxley defeated PAC by pinfall to become the No. 1 contender for the AEW World Championship. Chris Jericho came out after the match for a standoff.
