CM Punk FINALLY Comments On Rumors He's Set To Debut For AEW During RAMPAGE Later This Month

Rumours have been swirling about CM Punk's in-ring future for weeks now, and all the signs appear to be pointing to him debuting on the August 20 episode of AEW Rampage in his hometown of Chicago.

All Elite Wrestling feels like a natural fit for the one-time Best in the World, and during a recent interview to promote Starz series Heels, Punk finally commented on the rumours. Needless to say, he chose his words carefully, and went to great lengths to make it sound like he'll be busy elsewhere that day.

"When was that? Let me look at my calendar. What did you say it was, the 20th? I think I might actually be doing a screening...this isn’t confirmed yet so I probably shouldn’t be blasting this out everywhere, but we’re talking about doing a screening of episode three of Heels at an AMC in Chicago. That’s one of the dates that’s been proposed. So I hope to see everyone there."

Honestly, we're not buying it, and this feels like some tongue in cheek misdirection on Punk's part. Still, if he doesn't show up on Rampage now, at least we'll have this interview to look back on!

We'll have more from Punk for you soon, but you can check out this excerpt in the player below:
