PJ Black will remain with Ring of Honor for the foreseeable future.
Mike Johnson of
PWInsider confirmed that the former WWE superstar has re-signed a deal with the promotion, though the details regarding Black’s contract are unknown. The 38-year-old made his debut with the company back in 2018 during the Survival of the Fittest Tournament. While Black would defeat Luchasaurus in a qualifying match, Marty Scurll would ultimately win the overall tournament.
Since then, Black has been solidly featured on ROH television, though the South Africa native has yet to win any championships within the promotion. He last wrestled for ROH on Jan. 12 at Honor Reigns Supreme, teaming with Brian Johnson in a triple threat tag team match against Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry and The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe).
Black has stated in the past that he enjoys the creative freedom that Ring of Honor gives him, thus the reasoning he ultimately decided to sign with the company instead of re-signing with WWE/NXT.
