Ever since word got out that WWE officials had approached Joey Ryan about working the NXT brand for several years before transitioning into a coaching role in late April, the controversial wrestler has been teasing leaving the independent scene for good.
It was originally believed that Ryan would end up in All Elite Wrestling soon, but reports recently came out that the former Lucha Underground star had actually turned down a contract offer from the all-new promotion. Ryan teased big news about his future in professional wrestling and at the Bar Wrestling show, the popular indie star revealed that he’s not going to either WWE or AEW, as he wants remain on the independent scene.
He concluded his promo by saying
