Nick Aldis has been the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 500 plus days.
It all started back at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show on October 21, 2018, the 33-year-old defeated Cody Rhodes to become a two-time world champion. This came after a minor setback at All In as the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion lost the belt to the AEW star at the pay-per-view event. Rhodes ended a 266-day title reign.
Since then, Aldis has dominated the main event scene in NWA with the United Kingdom native defending the belt across numerous promotions against Marty Scurll, Tim Storm, Jimmy Havoc, Billy Gunn, James Storm, Ricky Morton, Flip Gordon, Brian Cage, PJ Black, Shane Strickland, and Colt Cabana.
Aldis has excelled as the face of the rebranded promotion and delievered top notch matches against the likes of Marty Scurll and Tim Storm; He is currently the leader of the Strictly Business faction that also includes The Wildcards (Thomas Latimer and Royce Isaacs) and Kamille. Aldis is set to defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight title against Marty Scurll at the Crockett Cup on Apr. 19.
