Thunder Rosa isn’t leave NWA anytime soon.
The speculation about Rosa being WWE bound popped up when she dropped the NWA Women’s Championship to Serena Deeb at the latest UWN PrimeTime Live PPV. The rumors spread even further when the 34-year-old teased what her future lies going forward:
However, NWA President Billy Corgan has shut down any notion that you’re be seeing Rosa in WWE anytime soon as he stated that she was under contract until 2021:
So what’s next for Thunder Rosa going forward?
Well, the former NWA Women’s Champion may be setting her sights in MMA as Rosa said during her Two Man Power Trip interview that she’ll likely take a break from wrestling and cross over to Combate Americas (Transcript courtesy of Fightful.com):
"I talked to Combate [Americas] and we're seeing -- either before they start or when they start, I wanted to have one more fight so I can get my feet wet again and I'm more ready for bigger things. I'll probably have a local fight by February. That's what we're looking at. That means I might be taking a little bit of time from professional wrestling so I can focus on the fight camp," she said.
Rosa made her professional MMA debut in Combate Americas back in 2019, though she ended up losing the fight via unanimous decision. Rosa told Fightful that she has three more fights left on her contract.
